I landed the J-10 for the first time and probably only time ever yesterday with 1m to spare.

The J10 in 0.8 are so much easier to land! but last version it was suicide for most

i would say one of the hardest planes to land is the f-16 it takes a lot of practice.

naah.. The hardest plane to land must be the SU-30!! i dont know how to land it... -.- someone got a recipe?? :P

This is a video I made of landing the J-10
YouTube - bf2 2008-12-04 20-48-31-18 I came in at 35% throttle, and I was holding the stick all the way back to maintain approach. When you saw the plane tip forward, it was because I released back pressure. I reversed the throttle just after I passed the treeline. And although the recording cuts off short, I stopped with about 50m to spare. I tried the flare approach, I just sailed into the fence at the other end before I even touched the runway, so I think my approach to landing is easier. |

Here's something I just learned while practicing landings with the different planes for you people who happen to land a little sideways on the runway: Remember, the controls for steering are reversed when taxiing backwards, the same applys when slowing down after a landing, you steer right, you go left, not fun if you don't remember this.
Revision: Some are reversed some are not, so keep your eyes open. |
