Bomb Car Tactics

#1: Get good Intel.

It's important to have good Intel so you don't get in the line of fire, get spotted and get destroyed. Try to get some spotters while you're hiding with your bomb-car, don't drive as a headless Chicken but hide till you have good intel. When having good Intel hop in the car and keep asking which directions they're looking. Try take them out quickly without wasting valuable time.

#2: Approach careful and from behind.

The most important rule is to approach your target from behind, it's the best way to get close to the target without much damage. Do never turn the radio on or you will be noticed before arriving at the target. Wait for the good moment, race to your target and blow it up before it goes away.



#3:Choose the most important target.

Choose the best target, don't waste your bomb-car for a supply-truck, but attack that annoying Humvee/apc. When you attack a convoy blow up their apc so they don't have a good powerful escort. When the convoy has to many apc's or Humvees don't attack it but follow it carefully and wait till they split up.



#4: How to handle when getting spotted.

Try to zig-zag to get out of their line of fire. A few rules;

In 50 meter ------> Attack your Target
Outside 50 meter ------> Make a sharp turn and get to cover, fast!

When taking fire by a Humvee you have still chances to blow it up, try to get their clip empty (or overheat) and blow it up then. When you got more fall back and hide, wait till they split up and repeat your attack.

#5: Get a good escort.

Try to get a good escort, it could be a normal station car or a technical, they attack the convoy and you can get a chance to blow it up. Bikes could also be useful to distract you target so you can approach from behind.



#6: Which road should I take?

Do never take main roads to get to your target, yes you can cross them but don't drive to long on the main-road but use alleyways and smaller streets, always take the route with less IED's as possible.



Other Things:

- Turn the radio only on when you're in dangerous distance.
- Try to get someone that can confirm your kill.
- Kill it!
- The red lines at the pictures are bad (Bullets , wrong route etc.)
- The (Light) Blue lines are good (The blue squares are technicals).
- The Orange lines are their view limitations.
-The black lines standing apart are walls.
- Pm me when you don't understand it.

There's another good tactic for the beginning of the round. Take the bombcar and drive to a common BLUFOR entry point to the city/urban area. Hide it or park unobtrusively and wait for your first guests to arrive. It works damn well.

I agree. People often feel the need to use the bomb car offensively. For the most part, it is good in that use, but people underestimate its ability to defend a choke point. On a similar note, don't forget to exploit the use of terrain when using the bomb car. While this is pretty much true for all vehicles, it is especially important that, whilst in a bomb car, people drive behind hills (AND NEVER OVER THEM), so that they can sneak up to their prey.

Great guide. Never use a bombcar without a spotter, that usually means if you don't, you'll most likely die. (if you attend to use it offensively) I gotten a few good tanks and apcs by having a spotter with the bombcar.

The first thing about bomb car - you must have a clear target before sitting in bomb car. Next - approach carefully by a long way (as more safe), covering by any obstacle, shorten distance. If you see that target starts moving from you, perhaps you are spotted - usually you can't overtake it, so retreat and repeat (or quickly change a target). When you at close distance, run directly to target, but try to move in direction other that main gun of MBT.
