Default xbox 360 controller for BF2 and PR: infantry

When playing battlefield or PR, I often connect an xbox 360 controller to my laptop. I often use this for when I am controlling a helicopter or a plane and it works pretty well. However, I am not able to use the controller while on foot as I cannot use the the controller's joysticks to look around, although I am able to move/strafe. When I go into the options in the game, I cannot find anything that will allow me to change my look settings for when I am on foot. Does anyone here know how I can change the settings in the game so that I can look, using my controller, instead of my mouse??
---For both BF2 and PR please.

Have fun hitting nothing.
The reason Microsoft slowly limped away from it's PC v Xbox online ideas is because it knew there would have to be a massive handicap imposed on the PC due to mouse and keyboard superiority.

Hey!

I also use a XBOX360 controller on PR, but only for jet flying, wich gives me the much apreciated control and enough and accessbile buttons that I need, wich a joystick (the one that I have) does not offer the same advantages, I'm using the wired version of the xontroller, thats how I connect it, and it works marbelous.

As for using the controller for infantry or other roles... well...

I get as surprised as kevman. (I also play FPS on XBOX360 and yes they play good, but mouse vs controller... Just no...

In vBF2, you had a option to change controls for the different type. You could have the keyboard and mouse for the Infantry roles and vehicles but if you also had a joystick connected you could put the joystick keys for the air vehicles.

I realize PR disabled that so they could have there keys to promote better realism or something but maybe the devs can add a option to enable a second party controller for air vehicles seperate from Infantry controls so when on foot you can still use the keyboard/mouse but if you enter a helicopter only your joystick or in this case xbox controller will work. When you exit the infantry controls are back online. Just like vBF2.

Anybody without this option enabled will have to make due with mouse/keyboard (if they don't got a joystick or dislike it).

I lol'd at "text with your controller!" bit.
Why the hell would you want to text message using a joystick instead of a keyboard (a input device created to write things) and why would you want to play WoW with a controller when the game is designed around M+Kb? I can understand playing a console game port like assassins creed with that software and controller, but a PC game?

I don't remember any option like that, but still you don't need it, you can just set your aircraft keys to the joystick/360 controller, and your infantry keys to the keyboard, they will work just like that, when you exit the aircraft you put aside the controller and get on the keyboard and mouse. About the infantry using the controller... Only using switchblade I think...
