Sometimes it can be used as a mini-artillery, theres one time when i was a grenadier and theres enemies at around 350m away, so i just point the end of the aiming sights slightly above the marker and fired, i missed the first shot but my squad leader corrected me and i hit their position on the second shot. However, it still consist of alot of estimations and of course, practice..

Moved to Infantry Tactics section

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Hm.. I'll try that some time
Maybe it could help because a Smoke grenade "Blinds" them then you can fire the actual round :P

And to everyone else, Thanks for your help, I'll see what I can do.

Better to have a markers-addicted SL to play grenadier, it makes the job way easier.
its 60 for me, and i thought that was for everyone else to?

Yeah, it's basically like a mini mortar. I found it very useful in skirmish maps.

What I have really big trouble with is to gauge the distance. Mostly I use the vield of view to gauge it (how close the fog is) but since its really different on every map I either use markers or just dont take the kit...

But when used correctly it's a blast, I once saved my SQD on fallujah from a RPG hit by nading the roof a few blocks away. That was one lucky shot.

My problem with the kit is that I can often do about as much damage simply using the ACOG

Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple!

I find that alot of players that I talk to in my personal experience tend to under-rate the role of the grendier.

I was playing as Taliban on Operation Archer one day, so around three of us got in that bunker on the hill. I picked up the AK74 with GP25. There were what, two squads, or even an FOB in the castle. It was 500 m away. So I pointed my rifle up to a random angle, an estimate done, and fired an explosive round (I could rearm grenades any time; there was ammunition). It hit very close to the castle (I had the sniper verify). So I kept the angle and fired. In the end, we killed the squad. I kept the kit throughout the round.

So a little later, I was with another guy, defending a cache, and I see an automatic rifleman team sneak onto a cliff. In a few seconds they were firing away like hell. So I got below a ridge, went prone, and estimated a bit. I'd say i went 1 mark, and the guys were 75 m away, and I got a direct hit. Basically you just need really good estimation and practice.
