Funny. I just started playing Brothers in Arms again tonight. LOOOOOOVE that game.

A game that tries to respect WW2 in addition to making money rather than just exploiting it beyond all reason.

Works fine in PR provided you actually have competent teammembers. 3 rifles putting heaps of fire on the same group of targets WILL suppress (if not kill) enemies, while your other 3 men flank/bound up.

In earlier versions I would've agreed that tactics that require suppression were iffy at best, but with the inclusion of suppression effects and movement based deviation , they are now very effective.

as i always say to my squadmates, use your ammo you got 8 mags (240 bullets) instead of just firing perfect shots all the time just suppress them with as much fire as possible or at least a nice firing pace. most people die before they have used their first 2 mags if they don't do this because the enemy gets a chance to return fire.

I think too many people have the vBF2 mentality in PR. Accuracy. I'm a victim to it myself, wondering if I should be really doing this when suppressing the enemy. No ones keeping count, but still, it feels weird. I'll keep this in mind as a grunt. Keep their heads down.

Well thats why God invented the LMG's. Just keep firing with it and then well see if the enemy has guts to get out of cover and return fire

Well yes, but a tactic I've found effective is more the one base of fire. If you suppress from more than one angle, the enemy can get the feeling that your closer than you already are. It also keeps them from moving, so your flankers can do better.
