Hi Folks, heres again an oldie from BF2 coming to the "real" Battlefield--to PR mod.
You have to know that I have been playing BF2 for a quit long time now(even in ESL,SFL and and) but I was sick about all those hackers and cheaters and I wanted something with more Teamwork with my Clan..thats why I am here now. I already skipped to the most of the instructioguides I was able to find in the web and watched some tutorials in youtube how to play PR, but I still feel very unsaved out there Could some1 give me a hint how he made his first steps in PR? (yes I already looked and the other hints but they arenīt made for PRnoobs..more for players that were playing a couple of months) |

don't play Pr without a mic.
follow squad leaders orders. ask for advice ingame. and for the love of god ...d'nt think just because you can drive/fly a vehicle in vanilla doesn't mean you can in PR. |

Yeah if you don't have a mic get one.
Ask some guys on the forums...what time zone are you on, if you want I can show you what I know even though I'm still not all that good...still better than nothing. |

Welcome to the forums & PR.
As I can see you are coming from Europe, like me, the best ping you will get, of course, on European servers, so in that way I'm suggesting you good German servers, Thors brigade & 10th mountains. If you come there search for me (usual squad name Crocodiles), and I'll be glad to give you first tips about PR and how to become a good teamworker so you could enjoy PR to the bone, as I do. See you on the battlefield... |

Basically, read the guide/manual and absorb as much information from that as you can.
Then, if you feel you're ready, get on a server, try and get in a good INFANTRY squad with voip, and try and get used to the basics. When you fell confident with how everything works infantry wise, try moving onto vehicles, but practise first on a local server. Welcome, and have fun. |

Well I would suggest you to just play, play and play and ask the people you play with if you are not sure what you are doing (use VoIP). As for vehicles I would just try it on an empty server (very important for Planes and helos). For some gunner seats you have to wait a certain time until you can shoot (apc 15 sec, tank 30 sec) same goes for Tow-missles and the heavy anti- air and tank missles. This time delay is everywhere. It also goes for the infantry weapons. If you shoot right after you were running your gun will not be accurate. If you are medic: you have to heal your teammates after you reanimate them. If you have an ammobag: you only have one ammobag but you get get it back off the one you drop. You have to be much more patient with everything (reparing, healing, reloading, etc) If you compare BF2 with PR there are 2 keys that are really important in PR. They are "Q" and "T" With holding "Q" you give orders and move- and attackmarkers and request medics, ammo etc. With holding "T" and pressing the right mouse button you request your kits (make sure you are close to a ralleypoint, main flag, bunker or firebase) As Commander or Squadleader there are more options when you press "Q" or "T". Like deploying stuff and setting Ralleypoints (For squadleader goes: get an Officers kit because you need it for making ralleypoints and other things) Last but not least: Always read the messages in the upper left corner (helps most of the times if you have trouble with getting kits, setting ralleypoints, deploying something, or why you cannot use vehicles) I Hope that helped you a little, but itīs just the beginning Greetz | |

Re: How to be a good Newbie
Welcome, all you need to do is read parts of the guide and put them to use ingame. Please don't attempt to fly any aircraft without training on a local server. If you need any more help feel free to Xfire me at cationjonathan.
