The TT has been out of use for years.

The PMM was never in very wide use (because the new high velocity rounds caused it to be rubbish).

Of that list only the APS really springs out.

Also, bear in mind that PR is set in the near future, so it is likely that the MR-443 has been more widely issued and replaced the older 9x18mm weapons in significant numbers.

TT? Do you also think, in the RA (mean Russian army, not Red

) use Mosin rifles?
MR-443 pistol is developed as replacement of outdated PM.
It is accepted on arms in 2003. Already arrives in RA.

Yes, but TT is good and very reliable, and large number of them is kept at army storages, and is still used. Well... AK has long history too, but theres only one serious modification - change of caliber. And AKMs are still very popular. New is not definatly better, old weapons which showed their quality is still popular.
May be in NATO there are no such good weapons?

That looks turbosmoothed and IIRC BF2 dosent like smoothing modifiers...

other than that it looks awesome!

Maybe in Russia they can't afford to develop and buy decent new weapons.

Anyway, FN Browning Hi-Power, Browning M2, H&K G3, FN MAG, Colt M1911...

All those are still in front line use with NATO forces and unlike the TT and AKM arn't kept in warehouses gathering dust until some bright spark decided he'd like one.

New ist better every time.
Yes, new ones are lighter, sharper etc, but usualy they are not so reliable, hard in service, harder in use - at WAR its main things i guess.

No, you were arguing that the TT should be the side arm for the Russians. Production of its ended in 1954 and its been out of offical service since 1951.

You also said that NATO lack weapons that have stood the test of time like the Soviet ones. Thats simply not true. The M2 was first introduced in 1918. The Soviet equivelant, the DShK was introduced in 1938 and began to be phased out in 1971.

Or the FN-Browing Hi-Power. First entered service in 1935 and is still in front line use with a number of NATO forces, such as Canada, Belgium and the UK. In that time the Soviets/Russians have been through 3 service pistols (TT, PM, MR-443).

Of course newer isn't always better, but you should learn what you're talking about before saying what essentially was "NATO makes weapons that don't stand the test of time"

Im agree with you, but to my opinion M2 or browning are not main weapons. But it isnt a place for that discussion))
