IRC, this was my suggestion

I made a difference. (I think)

And I voted for the 2nd option, but after reading the posts, I would change it to the first.

Odd, not as many peeps know this as I thought would. Instead of pressing shift AND w to sprint, or in this case go fast(er), all you have to do is double tap W, holding it down on the secomd press. I am amazed at how many peeps dont know this. If you use the Shift+W config for the armor, I hope the double tapping of the W key still works the same.
(like in jets;as mentioned b4)
- SLOW -All vehicles should have a universal slow speed that is the same that matches the walk of a trooper and all other vehicles default speed. "convoy speed"
- Troops can use the tank as cover as mentioned and give support to the armor column.

Shift W (Fast) = the highest speed that the devs think reflects that vehecles safe top speed, and should not be limited like a troopers sprint or an afterburner.
-unlimited sprint function for all vehicles to access the top speed of that vehicle.

Traction- Its a tank, it should be able to climb steeper then ant other vehicle, and never power slide as it often does,

Not sure if this is related to this topic, but all the vehicles slide while stopped if they are not on a roadway or a very flat spot. Thats unrealistic.

As this would be good for infantry to use tank to their advantage. The effect were the tank shoots and your visions blurred kind of makes I hard for every body to stay near the tank at the same time or spread out. But this is a good idea to make the tanks slower that they can move with the infantry.

I like the W option with shift-w for sprint since it is more natural to associate the shift key with going fast.

Exactly, I'm getting tired of armor going of by them selfs only to be decimated by a squad of AT Troops. It would also be pretty cool for the tanks to actually be in a convoy, and be able to go really fast when they only needed it.

Armored Convoys are possible if you have people who are willing to take there place in the convoy.

Ah alas, I know it is posible right now, but who actually will do it in a productive matter. Makin the Shift + W would promote them to do it because if they cant go as fast for a long time without Shift + W, like by adding in a sprint bar or something...

Sorry for my rant....

I like w for normal and shift+w for fast, it seems more natural.
