Well how are the mechanics? I'm assuming it's like afterburners, where it takes some time to speed up and then max out?

Well guys. Keep casting your votes! The votes decide which combination goes into the build. It's 22 vs 21 atm...so it's rather close...we need those results to be further apart.

I suggest you reset the voting, a lot of people have decided they want vehicles to be able to "sprint" for their top speed so by default they all go at the same pace. I think if you reset it they'd be further apart.

couldn't you do it as a toggle
such as W as forward then tap CAPS for high gear and tap it again to switch back to low.

one things thats bugging me is it possible for the low gear to have more torque,
i could get up them hills on jabel faster in my mothers micra

I'm pretty sure the torque is getting improved. What it needs is more traction and less sliding around all the time.

yea, when taking a stationary position on even a 10 degree gradient, you start sliding down the hill like it was made of solid ice..... looks prety silly seeing a huge tank slidding like that hehe

I think that shift W should be fast to be consistent with how running works.

Like rhino said, a toggle would work best, especially on maps like alamein where you want to go fast or SaK when you want to go slow.
