Also, really going off topic now, will the M1014 replace the M11-87 for the US at some point, being, as it is, the current joint services shotgun for the US?
Anyway, sounds good, even if shotties arn't getting the love they deserve!
Noooo, i wanna keep my M1014:P cant we say that the Brits bought the M1014 as part of a modernization program for jungle warfare?

How do you know it's on full auto if there's no selector switch IRL?
As said earlier, the "original" M14s had selector switches. The ones used as DMs have full auto locked out, and the selector switch is ground down to a circle.

Heres' the M4 model:

Note how the Aimpoint is not circular, it is made of 10 straight lines. Also note the tacky red dot painted on the back lense. Also noticed the missing on/brightness setting switch, and the windage and elevation knobs.

Frankly, you need to be a little nicer with your posts. You don't give the devs much credit, they have a lot of crap on their plate right now.

Carry on.

Enough people on these forums worship the devs like gods already. He has the right to complain and is nice enough in his posts.

Alot of crap on their plate... don't give them enough credit... I think the devs are getting more than enough credit when they go around and prevent server admins from running their own servers with the settings they want. I am sure that violates the terms of use EA has or something but does anybody ever speak up against it? No because the devs can do no wrong...

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. The Devs have given huge ammounts of their own time to make a mod which they distribute for free and which I like more than the game I paid £25 for on which it was based.

Secondly, no EA terms of use were broken by what they have done.

Legal aruguments asside, if they make something for free and give it away, i don't think its too unreasonable that they impose some terms and conditions of thier own. EA has server rules for BF2, the devs have rules for PR. I may not agree with all they do, but until i can make a better mod (read never) I'll continue to abide by their rules. Its not like they eradicate criticism, as long as its polite and in the correct place.

^^^^^There you go. If no one ever spoke up about the problems with anything, then nothing would get done or fixed, not just in the PR world, but the real world too. As long as he presents what he is aruging clearly and without cursing or bashing, then he is fine.

Of course it is much harder to like the mod when they won't allow changes to server settings that EA would allow on unranked serversl. I am sure a lawyer could find something wrong with that server contract they have created. I just wish some servers would stand up to such complete nonsense.

EA has their own server rules but generally they will allow what PR does not allow on unranked servers. It is also their game and engine meaning they have full rights to it. PR however is the only mod that has such this ridiculous "server contract." The whole thing should be removed or changed immediately.
