New Interview Again

http://www.battlefield2.info have posted the latest interview on the net concerning BF2, here is an excerpt:

"Battlefield2.info: Which Gametypes (MP) is taken over by the predecessors and it new will give?
DICE: Expect Conquest Mode, the defining BF game-mode. We will also be introducing a new game mode called Supply Line, which will recreate the sensation of having a frontline which goes back and forward as you attack and retreat on the map."

Here is the rest

It's pretty clear that the Supply Line gamemode is a slight modification of the Push gamemode DC had (i.e. Medina Ridge).

It does sound rather innovative and diffrent. I wonder how it would work? Like UT2004's invasion?

If this is the case, does one think that Dice is adding its own brand of 'logistics' to the game with this mode of play? Having to attack and then regroup sounds an awful lot like a more strategic and oraganized way to play an FPS.

You'd think that, but it's really just exactly like the Push mode in DC.

If BF has "perfected" rock paper scisor gameplay then can someone explain BF:V?

BFV does seem to follow the same formula, but I don't think it was exploited as fully as BF2 appears to. I think BF2 is going to be a massive improvement over both BF1942 and BFV, and what our mod is going to do to it is only going to make it better.

My thoughts exactly.

Just remember, we were all disappointed with BFV. So I am not keeping my hopes up, as terrible as it sounds.

I thought I heard somewhere that bf42 and bf2 are/were made by a different DICE than BFV? Well same company different team.
