The new kits, and rally points, and stuff, looks good. But..

I really don't get the dev. team's obsession with creating complicated rules and limitations.

The kit limiting in 0.4 sucks, and this looks like it's going to be worse. If you need a limited amount of kits, put them in a pile, and first come's first served. Or better still, put the kits at a team's rally point, available only for that team.

Project Reality might not be the right game for you then. Not being facetious nor am I trying to be a dickhead.

We never set out to be a mass appeal mod. We want to appeal to folks who appreciate that moden combat is very much so a thinking man's "sport".

What little training I have had in modern Infantry tactics surprised and overwhelmed me with the depth of information soldiers are responsible for in even the simplest of situations.

If a squad leader in PR can't remember a few basic rules, then er.. they should probably just spawn one of the unlimited kits and stick to a less complex role.

Additionally because it's a game, we need to put in a lot of stuff that is either a metaphoric represenation of real life or designed to prevent gameyness and exploits.

So I'm not going to go into details about how significantly superior the kit limiting system we have is over static piles of kits .. but I will say that if over time the mod doesn't grow on you, then hey .. there's other great mods and games out there that might be more to your liking.

Cheers!

There's nothing complicated about it. In fact it's incredibly simple. I'd love to see it a lot more complicated and even more REALISTIC.

Since when did an army have a pile of weapons that a random bunch or soldiers ran towards and grabbed whatever they could find? That sounds like kids playing in the park, not a realism based war game.

We want structure! Not a mad free for all. If you want that, go play Quake DM or something.

I really like the kit limiting.
Before it I was sick and tired of SAWs everywhere eating people up, and 10+ snipers on a team.
Feels much more balanced now.
Only problem is all the new players that don't spend the time downloading to actually read the wiki and learn how to play. I'm being kind though and holding their hands.

Agree...indeed is not true that sniper is EVER the best choice...many times is very funny but not ever it's effective for the team.
