both are technically the same gun, so both may be used for the British

now i dont know if Canadian forces use a rework of the SAW or the Minimi(pictured) but that could be what the Canadians might use aswell

no we(canadians) do not use the SAW, the picture above is the weapon we use, but now they have a shorter barrel on them just like the SAW

I have a teacher who is in the reserves and is a C6 gunner. And could probably get good pics of the C6 from him if you want.

it looks really funny, a MG with the M4 stock
perhaps the Minimi moddel could be modified, eqiping it with the m4 stock to a c9

the S.A.W. -> M249 is used by our army, we just dont use the stock version... we tweak it a little bit, but at the end, it still the same weapon.

anyway, back on topic, the C6 is the M240, FN MAG or the British GPMG which may be included in PR in future
No.

The Minimi came before the M249. The C9 is a Minimi (ie tubular stock, no heat shield, no feed cover rail)

So the M249 (actually the M249PIP or M249E1 in game) is a modified minimi (heat shield, solid stock, etc), while the L110A1 is a Minimi Para and the C9A2 (the latest of the Canadian Minimi based weapons) is a modified Minimi Para (what with the C8 style stock, short barrel, LAM and whatnot.)

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
