Question Reference Request: LAV-III (for color purposes)

LAV-25 will be reskinned as LAV-III.

Need good quality picture references for a skinner to reskin the LAV against. Preferably some pictures of the LAV operating in Desert and Woodland areas (Canadian Training areas probably best Woodland shots). Just to compare the amount of dust in the Desert ones to the amount of dust / mud on the Woodland operating ones.

Cheers!

Those are great pics. Usually when we do references for modelling purposes we'll get 30 to 50 pics.

For color purposes probably about a dozen photos in a variety of settings will work.

Cheers!

For some of the pictures I had to save it on my computer and upload it into a image hosting website like imageshack.us before posting it here, cause the pictures wouldn't show. So sorry, if some of the images can't be traced back to the origional sites.

great example of the differences between the Desert one:

... and the Woodland one:

Shots are from the same angle, notice how much dustier the desert operating one is.

Cheers!

Just so you know the LAV-III and the LAV-25 are two completely different Vehicles. It would be Better to Reskin the LAV-25 to the Coyote because they are basically the same Vehicle.

Coyote RECCE Vehicle

LAV-25

LAV III

As you can see there is a difference between the LAV-25 (Coyote) and the LAV-III.

Just thought I would tell you that cause I dont want you to do all the work and then be like ahh crap! lol

With that you have a workable CDN Infantry and an APC. Enough to get them into a map or two.

Again, They are not 100% the same thing, but the LAV 25 will pass off with a new skin as a LAV III. Otherwise if you want to make the LAV III from scratch then you are talking at postponding the first release for say 3 months? or you are talking about releasing without the LAV III. When the LAV 25 is a perfect place holder for the time being.

I think if you want to re-skin the LAV-25 to represent the LAV-III, then the EA model also needs a little increase in size.

In this picture you can see how they’re almost identical. Other than the size and a little more thickness in the LAV-III’s armor, they’re the same.
yea...already discussed to death

Yeah, and they are completely different vehicles.

A ford F250 kind of looks like a Dodge Ram. They both have a hood, 4 tires and a bed, all you have to do is reskin the logos. Am I wrong? (Yes)

If there was a Ford250 in game and we needed a F350, then we would reskin it for the time being.
