Curious about progress

I have been trying to keep up to date on the status of the CF mod on and off for the past few months, and I found my hopes for release uplifted when rumors began to fly around of the CF mod being ready for a possible 0.85 or 0.9 release.

However, the more I check and see the apparent inactivity on this forum and the still large gaps in the CF development sheet, the more I feel as if my hopes of an approaching completion date may have been premature.

I was hoping maybe some members of the team could give us a few ideas on what is being worked on and how progress is going. How many members ARE there on the CF team? Everything I have seen of the mod thus far says to me that it has the potential to make a perfect addition to PR and I only hope I get to see that happen.

The CF mod is in a highly unique position insofar as it is the only community mod that already has an official PR map just waiting to be utilized. Operation Archer awaits my friends. By contrast, the IDF mod is nearly complete in its internal development but is still devoid of any maps, a task which could take weeks or months to complete.

I hope that in stirring the pot a bit, I can get some renewed enthusiasm going for this community mod. I only wish I had the skills necessary to actually participate in development and help bring the mod to fruition myself.

Ya I was looking at that, but it seems to still be out of date regarding some of the 0.8 changes. For example, the Engineer still has C4 while the Spec Ops does not. Also, the Crewman kits are currently using C7 instead of the C8 (on this particular note I guess it depends on whether Mechanized Forces are more likely to be issued one rifle over the other. If it's a toss up, I'd still prefer to have C8's just to maintain uniformity with other factions.)

Two others that crop up are the Heavy AT kit which is currently slated to have only an L9 as backup instead of C7 iron sights, and the Light AT and Anti Air kits which have iron sights instead of scopes as they should.

I realize that the issues I am pointing out may simply be oversights seeing as how you and the team are far too busy actually doing the modeling to worry about what the Spreadsheet says the kit will be equipped with. If that is the case then please disregard this post.

The layout of the kit's there is really old so don't pay attention to the engineer having C4 ETC :P

I also was wondering how the canadian forces were progressing and i noticed barely any new posts or anything. If i could map or design stuff i would, but i dont have the skills or time to learn the skills.
