Re: Are the Canadians using the Eryx?

The Taliban in this CF Mod won't be using any armoured vehicles anyways (atleast I would hope not haha) Therefore the Javelin would probably be best for taking out dug in snipers or something. There is nothing here for it to unbalance.

Honestly, what's the difference between wire guided and...heat guided? Whatever the Javelins use. But honestly, we're talking about a TANK here. How hard is it to hit, even with the Eryx? Hell, even with the one shot disposable rocket? Or the RPG-7? It's a tank.

Omg.. dude just trust the people.

The damn javelin missile steers itself 100% onto the target.

Its not even in active service by the Canadian forces yet (according to what ive read) so there is NO discussion at all.

I have seen atleast 20 threads about AT rockets which ALL turn into discussions about the javelin.

Go play the tournament, Then you'll get to see when things are unbalanced or not, as soon as the Javelin comes into play the Tournament is one big fuzz.

It can be very hard & very deadly, to shoot anything on tank, cause if its in range, you're are too...and he got a 120mm cannon to deal whit you.

JAVELIN can engage target 2500 meters away and its freaking easy to use. Aim a thermal source, lock, shoot, go away...it can even take out helicopter.

An Eryx have to been aim, shoot, steer on target until missile reach the target (wich can take long long long seconds/minutes when under fire), then go away...

The Javelin works fine in the Nations At War Mod (NAW), I see no problems with it, but Canadian does officially use it yet.
