Map: Battle of Medak Pocket
Battle of Medak Pocket Canadian Vs Militia Counter Attack
This is one of the biggest battles Canadian forces have been a part of since the Korean war. I've met some veterans who lost limbs during this offensive ***respect***. Thought it would have some nice historical relevance (although the attackers were actually Croatian). Also this map would be unique because this would be the first time a NATO country would have the opportunity to be on the defensive in a CA. some generic reading: Operation Medak Pocket - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Medak pocket slaughter Militia forces begin an offensive against a Canadian outpost. Canadian forces have a walled compound surrounded by several hills (trees cut down). Few C6-9 positions near entrances. Map has several villages that will be counter attacked 30 minutes ingame, when UN reinforcements arrive. Militia armor and infantry must get over hills through fire and breach the compound. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Game start: Attack - Militia (ticket bleed): T-62, Spandrels, and technicals Defense - CF: Start inside compound with some TOW/HMG emplacements. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Counter attack timer - 30 minutes -------------------------------------------------------------------- Militia: Spandrels and T-62s cease spawning. Attack - CF(ticket bleed):: LAV-3's and CH-146 Griffon's spawn. Defense - Militia must now hold onto a Series of villages as UN peace Keepers (Just additional CF equipment/tickets) arrive in the region -------------------------------------------------------------------- Comments? |

nice idea for sure..... a bit unrealistic.... since the LAV3 never served there.... the Cougar did and so did the M113...... but nice idea for the attack, defense and counter attack, cheers

I like it, NATO defense for counter-attack is sorely needed.

Putting Militia in a map based in Croatia is uber unrealistic.

Translation of Que: What!?!
The Militia side is the most realistic for this excellent suggestion for a map. If you know anything about the genocide, *sorry "ethnic cleansing" in Bosnia and Kosovo during the early 1990's, you would also know that many of the belligerents who were killing civilians were irregulars, not only regular army forces, or sometimes a mix of both, much like the militia side in PR. Also having had the opportunity to interact with soldiers who were directly involved with this specific battle, I believe both the premise and the dynamics of the map suggested would both be realistic,(yes, save for the more modern weaponry and vehicles) and an excellent contribution to PR. |
