Yeah i thought that might not go down to well, i just couldn't think what else to say. I thought "normal" or "usual" canadians would be a bit offensive.

The CF's are trained in both languages
They are conditioned to work in french or english
Sure, some people have more problems then others, but thats normal
But, the CF's are bilingual
They may not be able to speak the language, but they can understand it very well

Ok Ok, why don't we settle this right now. Canada, as we all know, is a nation divided. We are extremely regional in our beliefs, and what more could you expect form a population of 30 million or so people living in the worlds 2nd largest Country? Given these circumstances, I say we let the voices be organized as they are in real life.

Make the grunts speak with a maritime accent
Have squad leaders speak with a Quebecois accent
And have commanders speak with an Ontario/Albertan accent.

(P.S. Don't get mad, this is just a joke. And its kinda funny too.)

Anyway, there's no need to have him actually speaking French, but rather speaking English with a heavy Quebecois accent, and some funny Quebecois curses thrown in for good measure "collis de tabernac esti!"

EA doesn't make a special edition for canadian version?
I come from France, and I have naturally the french version... and I think french voices could be very strange in a canadian army: it's sometimes very difficult for a french to understand someone who comes from Quebec if he doesn't speak slowly. The two languages are similare, but the biggest discrepency is the accent and some expressions. What's more the default french voice are "very french". From my point of view is a english canadian mixed with a quebec french the best way...

LOOOOL i'm a 100% Pure Laine... i laught alot.But the Québécois is not FRENCH, Its a cultural language dont ever forget that. In france they speak a real and clear french like "Ah putin t'es con" -> "A F*** you're stupid" in québécois is "T'es tu cave twé sacrament*"
*The Quebec is at my knowledge the only place in the world we use "Christian Church" word as vulagity... here a little exemple:
Esti d'sacrament d'calisse de tabarnac, The Ostie is the white thing called Christ body...the Sacrament,Calisse and Tabernac are all artefacts in the church's... And i dont call french something like this : "Eille twé quesse tu fais" ( suppose to be "Hey toi, qu'est-ce que tu fais" ) in "english" it will looks like "ey yo watchu doin" ("Hey you what are you doing" )

So it will be French or Québécois :P
