I think I talked about the C-series weapons with Desert a few months ago when I was working on my own C7A1, C7A2, LSW, C8A2... and what he said (I think) was that I souldnt do anything yet because the one that made the C7A2 should maybe make all the C-weapons so they look alike 100% which is very understandable.

We were talking about snipers (C3A1 I belive) but I think that one was assigned or something.

Great idea, and I'm even at a point where I can import the statics I make into the game so that might be a good idea, but I might need to have a talk with Rhino about some UV/texture stuff he was talking about it being different than what I normally do.

But yea if I can get some specifications from someone I'll start spamming out some statics - isn't really being done by the community modders for some reason.

Yeah katarn is working on the C series of weapons (cheeseman is doing the C3A1) and I have no idea what the progress on katarn's models are, he never gives me any updates :P

Uh, Nyala is 90% UV mapped (2 weeks work on and off)

Skinning should start soon, hopefully finish in 2-3 weeks provided nothing interesting happens.

we do not use the C3A1 anymore as our sniper rifle, it has been replaced almost 2 years ago with the C14 Timberwolf 338. Link below

Will.. I kind of knew about this, and as I remember Fox provided a few references of the C14 when he asked me about modeling a sniper so I think he had an idea about this as well. Let’s just hear something from Fox over this issue.

Tac50 is still used...Timberwolf will be the full replacement in a couple years

??? the C14 replaced the C3, the LRSW or Tac50 aint going anywhere and we even use a heavily modded AR10. the C14 is not going to replace the LRSW... is that what you are saying???

well from what i know... they both will be used pretty much a preference thing i'm in PPCLI 3, and we are using the tac50 slowly a few guys have changed to the timberwolf...

Colt Canada wants the contract with the DND..so in time... Wolfs will be all over

yes i am 2RCR, MCpl, our boys here already got rid of all the C3's for the C14... so we now have the C14 and the LRSW in use.... but when i was in afghanistan, the sniper det's had with them the C14, the LRSW and the modded AR10 plus their C8's slienced
