If they wanted a more compact version why not just go for the MINIMI para version?

Cause is not builded in Canada lool, seriously i dont know, the M249 is a Minimi... they just tweak it for "unconvantional warfar" i mean short barrel for CQC, ELCAN ( Standart scope of C.F. ) for "mid-range" support capability... thing like that... Yeah the paint is pretty ugly but the gun still pretty powerfull.

looks like the aftermath of a great night at the pub....

but still.. guess it has it's functionality. how is the shorter barrel going to translate into accuracy? what's the point of puttin a elcan on it if it's just going to be a spray gun.

I like it, but a longer barrel would be nice (for accuracy purposes)

Short barrel is perfect for close quarter combat, a longuest cannon would be fine in CONVANTIONAL warfare

And a Support Weapons is suppose to be a Spray gun BTW...

i understand the CQC value of it, but that shorter barrel is going to be like the thompson from cod, where you can hit anything after 20ft.

You do realize that an m4 can hit a target 500m within a few inches? You just have to account for bullet drop. It's more the wielder than the length of the barrel.
