CF-18 | F-18E/F

Just kicking the can around, this isn't an "OMGLETZADDJETNOWNOWNOW" thread. Right then, upon examining pictures of the CF-18, F-18, and F-18E/F(Super Hornet, supposedly the one ingame right now) I noticed that the 'super hornet' ingame right now seems ( to me ) to infact just be a plain old f-18. As far as I know this is discernable by looking at the front of the engines, intake ... whatever you want to call it, where the 'hornet' possesses an oval shaped intake and the 'super hornet' a squared off intake. I'm no military buff myself, perhaps someone can clarify/confirm if the jet currently ingame is infact a 'Plain Jane' F-18. If this is the case then could this not easily be reskinned into a CF-18 later on?

Ingame Hornet/Super Hornet

Hornet/Super Hornet comparison ( the the smaller one being the hornet, and the larger of the two the super hornet )

As far as I know the differences between the F-18 and CF-18 are negligible. What I'm trying to clarify is whether the model ingame is the F-18 or the F-18E/F Super Hornet.

I'd say it's a regular hornet.

This is what I thought, any aviation buffs wanna chime in?
Also ... anyone find that the Super Hornet takes on a more menacing look with the square intake thingy majigs? (Yes that's the technical term for them.)

The vBF2 F-18 is only a F-18, so all you should have to do to get a CF-18 is a Re-Skin, buut, youl need your own Model or EA will come down on you i think, oh and just to be sure here:

thats the Front the a F/A-18 "Super Hornet" Notice the Squared off In-Takes and the Longer wingspan, also take note it has 2 Extra Hardpoints on the Wing. Im a Aircraft Buff Well and Truely

Re-skinning models in a game is totally ok, and not against any EULA.

Who knew EA/DICE's ignorance could end up benefitting us for once?

Also, please note that the F/A-18 Super Hornet enjoys going bungee-jumping during downtime (as shown in image), whereas the F-18 and CF-18 have a more laid back approach, lazing in their hangers.

Psst. It's CF-188.

I have a friend who is in Canadian Air Cadets. He knows a lot about aircraft, and sometimes comes here, he just won't sign up.

.

Under normal circumstances, everybody pwns Griffon, in Soviet Russia, Griffon pwns EVERYBODY!
