CAS in Muttrah City

And yes I do mean close in close air support.

So me and me buddy Ragchan were bored and decided to get on Tcombat while they're hosting Muttrah city (lovely map). I saw that no squads were taking the role of Cas so i did the honors of my self of making a squad called so. I spawned 2 minutes into the game and I see that the attack huey isn't taken. Ragchan and i decide to take a ride in it.

I was the spotter he was the pilot. We just go over the city finding targets strike them. There was this one time where we were on our first patrol , we saw a sa-7 shooting straight at us shooting a missile from a bunker , Ragchan flares. Missile goes right by.

I put a attack marker on his last known position. Ragchan goes around for the Angle of attack. We managed to take down the bunker (not competely) but didnt get the aa specialist. We go back to the carrier and hop in the cobra , same seating as before.

This is where the fun starts to begin. Finding targets was hard for us in the beginning only taking that bunker down completely and founding a squad hidden in the gas station near North city. But then , we started finding targets all over the place but just hidden. One squad called in CAS in the parking lot near the docks , I told him "Roger coming in quick" within 5 seconds we found a whole squad running across the street.

Only then my m197 would terrorize the Mec. The squad tried to run but they couldn't. Me and My pilot just decimated the whole squad clearing them and their rally point. As the round goes by we continue to get support our team whenever they were in a pinned situation. We caught a few runaway vodniks and command trucks now and then but the joy i got was squads calling in air support. That made me knew we were actually helping them.

In the end me and my pilot got really bored and started flying inbtween streets looking for targets since they started hiding. I really mean , I remember one time flying by the mosque i saw a guy peep out the allay way then looked up and got right back in. We spared his life...

Good round, we were in the APC and watched you go flying across the intersection behind us "Cobra at 5th & Main" I joked over VOIP. Patty called in a few strikes that you guys processed quite well.

I still havn't got to fly the attack huey on public, i was close once but a nub got it and crashed lol

Yeah me and Mongol had a great game yesterday flying the cobra and having Outlawz act as FAC, taking out the same firebase and AA over and over and over again and nailing any MECs who happened to stray into outlawz's field of vision. The efficiency of it got such that we were awarded with a cheater accusation! Always high praise . No screenshots unfortunately as some bastardo happened to UAV-crash the server with around 100 tickets to go

Anywho, if that isnt an example of inter-tourny team cooperation i dunno what is. Who said NATO and CATA cant sometimes be civil enough to one another to destroy some pubbies once in a while?

At one point, I was on MEC, and the Cobra just hung in the air a couple of hundred meters out. I think it got taken out after a while, but while it was up, all we could do was do the best we could to stay out off sight

The guys that tried to escpae was me and my SQ... we said.. "To the hell whit this!", me and the SL (Later killed) were the last survivors.. when i hide behind a wall.. i ishooted a few rounds of the G3.. no effect.. your damn Uber Cannon killed me
