Cool Black Hawk Extraction and Deployment (video)

Map: Jabal Al Burj 64

After my squad being alone attacking the MEC from the EAST the entire round, we got heavy defense at the Bridge area. We deployed a firebase to the east of the CP but it got heavily attacked by the defenders.

After trying to attack the Bridge from the EAST three times already, I decided to try a different route of approach. We called for extraction since we had a dedicated helicopter transport squad and it promptly came for the extract.

Wasn't the best looking landing but it got it done. I decided to go for LZ Alpha where I only hoped it was clear of enemies considering the heavy defense to the east of the bridge. We thought there wouldn't be many defenders on the other side.

We were wrong

PR v0.7 Black Hawk Extraction - Battlefield 2 video

The video doesn't show, but our entire squad got killed and our Black Hawk was destroyed. We definitely learned a lesson.

Nonetheless that was a great round and the squad behaved very good and with great teamwork and patience.

After that failed attack, we spawned back at East Beach (where we had constructed a bunker before) and advanced with two humvees for a more desperate attack. We found an enemy firebase to the east of the bridge right next to the road and I promptly had our rifleman AT take it out with our two .50 cals providing cover against the remaining defenders on the hills.

After the east side of the bridge being cleaned up, we started moving towards the bridge and started getting intensive fire from the other side of the bridge. An AA gun and lots of infantry could only mean a defensive bunker in the area.

I requested an Area Attack on that location and after a min we got our beautiful JDAM (that I forgot to record ) taking out the bunker and all defenders in the area. We crossed the bridge and captured it allowing our entire team to leave the Dam defense and advance to the bridge.

Seeing that our entire team was moving for defense of the bridge, we got our two jeeps and a truck and moved east of East City. A firebase was built and we captured East City which had a squad or two defending.

Anyways, we had a real stalemate with the entire MEC team defending Bridge and our entire team defending the Dam. The JDAM came to the rescue to break that lock and was the reason we could advance and finally win the round.

Great Round

"This area is not clear" right after you guys jump out of the BH, you guys should have atleast circled the LZ once to make sure it was clear

yeah that feels good DB...we had 2-3 great extraction and insertions the other day on kashan...sure beats the hell outta walking..

and everyone was having a good old time getting picked up and dropped close to the action...great fun..

last insertion was at the MEC main he dropped us just outside the fence at the end of the MEC runway and was even thoughful enough to drop us a crate of supplies before taking off..

the unsung heroes for sure...

I like the dispondant 'nevermind' close to the end. Great video. Sparkks was your commander he is a great player in my experience. I seem to remember him from a couple of games being really good.

Yeah, Jabal can be a real blast on the US side with good pilots. 3 BHs taking off at the same time during the beginning of the round and flying off into the sunset (if possible with me flying one of them )...beautiful.

Do you have a super handsome mate? (hugs and kisses KP)

Yay! I'm the medic next to him at the beginning.

Great round. Qwai before that was fun too. But that round on Jabal was really great. Even though it's frustrating being a medic on a map like that (with so many scopes around), I had a lot of fun.

We seriously attacked bridge from every angle conceivable. They would NOT give it to us.

That was a very tight looking squad. Jabal is almost always a good map for me, as far as overall maps go it's the one I see the most teamwork on.

Ahhh... It's not an extraction without some fool blasting away on the gun, is it?
