Re: Scariest PR Moments
.75 Al Basrah. I'm on the insurgents team, ambusher kit. It's about 30 minutes into the round and have just run up to the pipeline that runs north and south next to the oil facility. I know there is some armor in the area so I get between the two pipes and crawl north hoping an apc or scimitar will come in and give me a chance to use Mr. IED. After I have crawled for a little while one of my squad mates tells me over VOIP that there is some kind of armor next to the pump jack north of facility. I decide to pop up and see where it is, and if I can make it without being nailed first. As luck would have it just as I pop up to take a look the barrel of a scimitar comes to a stop on me as it passed over the pipeline, checking its surroundings. Thankfully I dropped down quickly and he was to low and close to get me with the cannon....but that was pretty freaky.

Re: Scariest PR Moments
Happened just couple of weeks ago on Kashan. I was driving a MEC AA somewhere in the desert west to the bunkers area and stopped for some surroundings check. I stood still for several minutes and all I could hear was the engine idling. Then without any warning or sight of enemy troops - Boom! - my AA tank blew up! I got pwned by some USMC tank from very far distance. It was so sudden and surprising that almost fell off my chair

Re: Scariest PR Moments
Crawling around as a Sniper on Al Basrah, only 5 mins into the round and hadn't taken a shot yet waiting for some poor insurgent to pop his head out of the city somewhere. Didn't have my headset on but could hear the shots from both friendly and enemy...I thought these shots were close since it was pretty loud, slip my head phones on and everything is silent, line up a perfect shot and let a shot go, BANG! I almost (no really...almost) shit myself, my head phones were turned up bloody loud (close to max), turns out the shots I could here were miles away.
Always check my head set now to see how loud they are now |

me and a friend were up late so we decided to go Civilian and after a few minutes of runing around avoiding Arrest We see a challenger2. I Run up to it and Jump on the turret COMPLETELTY forgetting that the exit on tanks is unfortunitly the turret needless to say the gunner jumped out and after staring at me for a second knifes me. Scared the living day lights out of me. |

Re: Scariest PR Moments
we were playing on Ejod desert last night and our team after being pinned down on the I (as squad leader) noticed that they'd capped up to the flag below north desert so i call a retreat back south and around to catch up. threw smoke blah blah blah. So as we're moving up i'm watching the map and notice that something is wrong, most of the team is at one of our flags and only two guys are at North Desert so I immedieately call a halt and suddenly we're treated with AR fire lol so we smoke in the direction of the fire, fall back around the building and i get the brilliant idea of heading west just to the east of the hills and circling around. Unbeknowest to me (luv that word) the reason that the team is pinned down is that an APC has found perfect position at North Desert looking over the east, west and south of his position.
So we're going west and as soon as we pass the huge rock we get innundated with sniper fire! I of course go down first (i tend do be a huge target for some reason) luckily i put a placement down right as we go to the rock. So we start firing back and I call a retreat back east...by this time the APC is trained on us and as we go back east the apc pummels us! Sooo lucky us, sniper to the north west, apc to the north east and we're trapped behind a rock man o man. If the team that was sniping us was any smart they'd have circled around and nailed us but luckily they were and we tossed smoke east and west ran south with apoc firing nipping at the back of our ankles and head south of the hills. We make our way up the hill and our AR map decides "hey i'm going to go up to the top of the hill and look over" luckily he did because as soon as he did he ran into 4 guys, luckily he hosed 'em all down! We get up into the hills and find a bunker and tons of infantry and a wide firefight insues. I think this took at least 15-20 minutes maybe more but we eventually rooted them out, except for the stray sniper or two trying to hit positions to the east. That was scary, tense and just down right nerve racking...we eventually lost because our team somehow lost the flag that they were all on! and then got pushed back 2 or 3 flags, it was horrible. I'm sure i've had other scary moments, but i just reinstalled PR the other day after playing for months (BF2 was having issues...) |
