The changes hit me like a fifty-cal round to the chest. First, (and still) I cannot find my bearings, I cannot find where I am supposed to go, what I am supposed to bring to the party once I get there. The landscape blurs together and it is just one death after another for lack of awareness. There is no "Enemy spotted, 3:00!" It is simply Enemy Spotted, I wheel around face my attacker, only to get shot in the back from lack of situational awareness. I eventually accumulated a spawn time of 1:21 from deaths.
Reeling from that round of absolute and horrendous failure, I looked to see the next map load up! Oh Joy! It was the new one with the GB vs PLA with the planes! I spawned a bit late and was happy to find both planes were on the ground not being used! Nor was there a dedicated squad to use them! To my delight, I created one and quickly discovered why. The Eurofighter handles not unlike a blind fat man attempting to fly a lead pipe with a rocket engine in the back. It gets off the ground, but the HUD is for the most part, obscured by the bright blue/white sky. The bombs have a cute little habit of being cruise missiles (with the IFF targeting system switched by a helpful saboteur with the ability to kill far more friendly that are 300+ meters apart than those dropped on every enemy solder standing as close as possible) some times, and other times, normal free fall bombs with anything to make them fall straight down with no momentum, it was cute, really! Needless to say, it only took two runs to get kicked for negative score. Now, it will take a bit to get used to, but for now, I need to nurse my anger down so I don't start saying and doing things I will regret. I feel that an intermediary patch was needed. There was a HUGE amount of changes that should have been spread throughout two or perhaps three patches, instead of changing such vital parts of the game in one lump sum. I also greatly approve of the ACOG. |

Project Reality does have A HUGE learning curve that many will have great trouble trying to master. Like everyone says, " all you need is practice." THIS IS A LIE!!! You need someone to tell you and show every little change in the game as more and more problems come up and bite at your face. Apparently, no one reads the Manuel. It doesn't matter if shows up on your desktop after you download. Many do not wanna read just to play a game.
People have great respect from new players who: a. have read the new Manuel and b. realize they are now crippled as a new player and are willing to learn how to walk and run all over again. Many people such as myself are very eager to show you each and every corner of the game. And those same people are becoming more and more frustrated that players lack of experience in game are plagued by the fact that people becoming Squad Leaders are not being Proper Squad Leaders. A big ol hint if you want to see if your in a bad squad is that the name of your squad is Alpha.. Bravo.. Charlie.. The only thing your going to hear in that squad is, " Guys im down on my position!!!, it was like 2 Guys!!!! Get them!! . Or, "Umm.. i need 2 guys on me to make a rally, get over here!!! Joining a squad named VOIP isn't good enough anymore, even if people start talking, it doesn't mean that the Squad Leader knows what hes doing. Join squads with a real name. Squad Leaders that KNOW how to play the game were said to a make an original name for themselves so look out for squads with a real name. |

Hm, I've always thought that squad leader and squad members decide on how good squad is but anyway what squad name you expect to find so you would like to join in for example?

This was less of a change than originally planned for 0.7 I believe. The only solution is to keep playing and learn to win by analyzing your mistakes. Coordinating with infantry is a must, and if you do it well you will be rewarded.
I do sympathize with you about the eurofighter, I believe I've seen other people having some issues as well. I'm sure a patch addressing a multitude of issues will be along as soon as the DEVs have it sorted out. |

Oh. Dear. Deity. I cried tears of joy when I picked up a sniper! I used to miss almost every shot due to the sniper being zeroed at 250m. Today, I fired a grand total of 231 Sniper caliber rounds. Of those, I hit close to 200 of them. Of those, at least 90% were headshots. I am in love with the new Zero-In distance, this is now the best release of them all (that I have been here for) Thanks devs for some great times to come!
