shame you couldn't sing it to the enemy over voip. Oh and one incident pissed me off majorly, i guess anyone with their speakers on would have told you: as our whole squad on 7gates are getting into a warrior, someone spots an enemy engineer laying a mine right at the rear door. we tell the driver to not move an inch - he does the smart thing of bailing out altogether. as our engy is disarming the mine, a random person walks up to the apc -- OVER the engy and the mine(!!!) then grabs the crewman kit and floors it. as soon as i heard the engine started i thought "oh no. plz say he didn't!". that was followed by the apc explosion which KO'd most of the squad. | |

Re: Your Worst Experiences
my worst was on Zatar Wetlands 64. First of all, things were going soo swmmingly, we had an amazingly organised squad, our squadleader sgtRoberto was a genius. i was the usual hughy pilot for that round, we landed at Landing Site 2 and moved along the road after capping the LS, we swam accross the river towards LS1 to help the other squad out, all was going well, we set up a rally point just north of LS1 i was sniping out the MEC on top of the mountain, and the other guys were going straight for LS1 helping out Bravo squad. Little did we know Bravo was decimated, there were trucks on the opposite side of the mountain that i couldn't see and were putting fire down on LS1, thats where things started to turn bad. from then, we could not cap LS1 any air transports were shot down by MG fire, and then they took complete control of LS1 and populated it with tanks stingers and MG's the stingers and tanks had a perfect view on the carrier meaning anyone who tried getting in the air was immediatley shot down. we tried going around to the west near the farm in a hughy, we made some progression but they pushed us back pretty quickly with about 3 tanks, we were stuck at the carrier constantly taking fire from them. My team just thought "f**k this sh*t" and we left...

Re: Your Worst Experiences
One of my recent experiences was on Texas Teamplayers while playing BiMing. I was SL with my buddy SGT.Bragg and my squad was attempting to take Bi Ming when we lost Communications. We stayed there until Munitons was taken then we redeployed to Communications while the other squads tried to take Munitons. All under the commanders orders, which were few and far between. We held Communications until i got tired of waiting for the other squads to do something but by that time it was too late. The outpost was taken and we were down to 40 ticks, the brits had 200+. The round probably lasted 20 minutes. Our team got our ass handed to them.
Well the good part comes when I get Kicked by some admin for "not being a teamplayer". You can call me alot of things but never not being a teamplayer. I never heard anything from anyone during the game but once the brits took outpost, boom i was gone. So my buddy gets all pissed and in true Sgt.Bragg fashion he runs his mouth calling the admin some choice words for his genius decision. We all know how some admins like to play god so he banned Bragg from the server. It's nice to know a buddy will have your back. But with few servers it kinda sux as well. |

Re: Your Worst Experiences
Playing on Battlearena, Brits. I was SL Driving into the city on the Western road. Got hit by an IED, but it was blown to early so I survived, (vehicle on fire) so i ditch. My squad members (2) ditched with me. We get to the wall of a building, and i say "I'm setting RP" but as soon as I try.. I get TK'd by one of my squad mates. Well damn.. Ok, merlin come pick us up for a drop. So merlin is on its way in, but lucky little lag spike sends him nose-diving into me. GREAT! respawn again, immediatly TK'd by an APC. I'm pissed, Respawn again, boot it to city with my squad. they go off and do their own thing, I enter city, get 2 kills (gettin back on track 'eh?) Merlin nose dives on me again.
I quit |

Re: Your Worst Experiences
Okay, so I was commander on that BIG map thats in a valley with the Brits and Rebel-type-guys. I was doing pretty good if you ask me, we had about 6 squads on a full 64 server, and all but 2 were full, the others almost.
One amazing squad, I directed to hold a point on the east side of the map, that was being attacked. They held off about 15 rebels the entire time. The rest of the rebels were defending the western point, where I had nearly every squad at. I headed myself up to the awesome squads position, and helped to defend and we fortified the crap out of that hill. As Im directing squads that have just captured the other point... the squad leader of the men I am with DC's. The whole squad falls apart and Im left alone defending against countless people. Through the cracks and bangs of bullets flying over my head, I desperately call a squad over to help, but they have no transportation and it takes them forever. By the time they are here, Im still alive but the rebels somehow have flanked our other position now, and have tore almost our ENTIRE army apart. It was too late in the round to make any difference, and we won, but it was a bad experience because in the end, without our main squad, nobody would really listen to me. It's no fun to be a commander that tries to make strategic decisions, and somebody falls out of the line and you get torn up. Anyway, wall of text over. |

Re: Your Worst Experiences
Had a bad experiance the other day on the TG server.
First off, I just want to say the TG guys ROCK and I LOVE their server! We were on Kashan Desert and I was in a squad with 5 other fellows. We werre doing well. We had proceeded to the South Village and capped, and were on our way to the South bunker. We were on foot, as there was no other open transportation. As you know, that is a looooooooooong walk. So all of a sudden one of our transport choppers decend near us and lands. The pilot yells "HOP IN!" so we do. He asks us where we want to go and we tell him. He cheerfully accepts and transports us. He is doing his job and is a part of the "Air Trans" squad who all fly the helos. So far so good, right? Everything's going great and we're all having a good time. Now... keep in mind, we did not request the transport. he landed by us and voluntarily offered us a lift. HE was a team player. Out of nowhere, this guy yells "GET THE HELL OUT OF THAT CHOPPER SQUAD 1!!!!!" We of course reply "We're just riding...." The guy that yells at us was a transport squad member and he's all uppity that we are in their chopper. We were not flying.... we were riding. he comes back and yells "THAT CHOPPER IS SQUAD 1'S PROPERTY. YOU DO NOT TOUCH IT!!!!!!!!" just like that. We try to explain that we are just getting a ride and one of his squad mates is flying. We also try to explain that his squad mate is doing his job and giving us a lift. By now we are on the ground and the pilot flew off to continue being the fantastic team player he has been. Problem is.... he was shot down shortly after and this other guy starts blaming us. "SQUAD 1!!! THANKS FOR LOOSING OUR CHOPPER! DAMN NOOBS!" is what he is yelling at us. We're sitting there laughing with each other over VOIP about this guy and having no idea what his probem was. The Commander finally speaks up and tells the guy to shut up. he listens to him and drops it. Later on, he again gets mad and brings up "WE ARE LOOSING BECAUSE SQUAD 1 LOST ONE OF OUR CHOPPERS!!!!" which was BS in itself. My squad capped two flags with no assistance besides the awesome dropoff from the good pilot. The game was EVEN because of us. I forget that idiot's name, but I seem to recall he got booted when a TG admin came in and saw him running his mouth over something else that was not worth getting mad over. I still donno if the guy was just a moron or if he was just too dumb to comprehend what was really happening. So that's the worst experiance I've had so far and realistically it's not so bad. |

Re: Your Worst Experiences
Well I was playing on the TG server on the map fools road, in this squad under the name of Brutii.of.AH. I did everything the squad leader asked, every order he gave I followed it to the nose. Then once we set to take this flag, I was dead at the time and the entire squad was proceeding without me. By the time they got there, I spawned and was shortly behind them. However they all got killed, and I was left at the entrance to the thing and then my squad respawns. Out of the blue the squad leader just starts bitching at me how I am not a team-player, etc, etc. Because I was at the entrance of this thing, (Not going in) waiting for my squad to get there and they just died as I was there. Then earlier he had assigned somebody to get this grappling hook so climb these walls, afterwards we were at one of these walls to get to this flag and he gives a order to throw it (He never mentioned names). I assumed he was refering to the guy he asked to get a kit with a grappling hook, at the time I had gotten a SF kit from the firebase and had one too. He started bitching at me again for "Disobeying his orders". So I throw this thing, and he yells out "Start climbing" so I start climbing, and I climb over the wall and he starts yelling at me for climbing over the wall, saying he only meant he wanted us to climb to the wall and not over it.
I really hate squad leaders like this that assume you are psychic and that every action they say, you know who he is refering to. Then blame all the failure of actions upon miss-communication which is entirely the squad leaders fault for not using names with his specific order. I mean its not really hard to say, "Ok, Bob. I want you to throw the grappling hook over the wall" "EVERYBODY remember I only want you to climb to the wall, and not over it". |
