Greatest ambush tactic game Ive ever played.
The assault on Al Basrah began at approximately 10:30pm EST. The TG-Assault squad delayed spawn on Dirtyboy until he could get into position at the crossroads just outside of the USMC base. There, they placed IEDs and dug in at the broken bunker just off to the side of the road. After two successful ambushes (jeep with 4 troops, APC with 3) the squad headed East to the bridge north of the Industry. Once there they placed IEDs on the bridge and went into hiding in the tropical paradise just east of the bridge. At that position they scored 4 successful ambushes. ( 1 APC, 2 jeeps, 1 troop) Soon after the last ambush their position was compromised by a sniper and they resorted to VBIEDs.
TG-Assault Squad [/url]The squad was me(=E= Jimmy_Sm@ck) Emdek Elmeistrol SgtDeth420 Dirtyboy Lysaimachus Great stuff. |

![]() [KTA] is currently recruiting! Steven Colbert, when asked on his show what his Iq was replied with a very straight-forward answer, it was, " I know what my IQ is, I got an A, 95!"

Dark Wolf ....look for forum names in servers....join that server ....join that squad...
There are literally hundreds of people who will sit still ( ie: no shooting, no commo rose comments, no wandering around ) for 10min doing nothing guarding an important chokepoint. You just have to find them. |

This is probably the best Sq I had in some time. Everyone communicated well and we played our asses off. While most people decided to switch teams we stuck in there and totally screwed with them.
Our team were keeping them well busy at the bridge north of N. VCP and they kept sending the USMC to our little trap. Although one APC did get by...but our crackshot RPG gunner took him down l8r on. Then that damn sniper had to show up and ruin everything. At that time everyone had to go so I feel we did our job. GREAT SQUAD. IU would recommend all these guys. |

lol armeddrunk&angry, I just thought it was funny people standing around for the photo shoot in the middle of a battle. yeah i know real armed forces take group poses etc. but not right in the middle of a conflict
I've found several squads that communicate fairly well, though the only time I've experienced what you described was what I wrote in the recommendation thread with =SRR=GeneralSlippyFist as SL. It depends on the level really. Usually it's the massive ones where the outposts are spread out a bit. |

Here is my Version
I ditched work a little early a couple of days ago, and decided to jump onto the Project Reality server. As soon as I joined the map was changing to Al Basrah (one map I REALLY hate) and of course the USMC had 10 more troops than us most likely caused by everyone changing sides. So I had no choice, I was an insurgent. As soon as I made a TG Assault squad it was filled up instantly(apparently word gets around). I told everyone to delay spawn and to my amazement everyone listened. Squad: SL: Dirtboy (Insurgent) Jimmy Sm@ck (Rifleman) Emdek (Insurgent) Elmeistol (Insurgent) Lysaimachus (RPG) Sgt Death.420 (Medic) The Objective: Ambush USMC at choke point. To stop enemy advance to N. VCP. The Location: Crossroads North of N. VCP. IED’s on the road, Squad hidden in bombed out building. After we get there, we quickly placed the IED’s and waited. After a couple of minutes of waiting I finally heard something in the distance. Was it a tank?...Was it a APC?...A forklift? It was none if those things. It was a HUMVEE full of troops. “NOW” I screamed BOOM...BOOM...BOOM....BOOM...BOOM. The only thing left was a smoldering pile of metal. “Squad on me, rearmed and regroup” I barked totally immersed into the game.”Wait for the next wave”. We waited once again...”DAMMIT” I screamed “I don’t think their coming this way again, we are redeploying ” The Objective: Ambush USMC on Bridge. Halt the Advancement of USMC to Industry. The Location: Bridge north of Industry, squad hidden in The Oasis. We then moved to the bridge north of industry and placed our ambush site on the bridge itself and hid ourselves in the Oasis east of the bridge. I knew the OpFor was coming this way since the rest of the team were forcing the enemy our way. We were there for about 2 min before we saw anything...Then I heard a HUMVEE down the road...I had my guys get ready. “NOW” I yelled. It was down...”Rearm and regroup on me ” Not one minute passed when I heard it...the distinct sound of an APC. “On my order, get ready” I said anxious as a 10 year old during Christmas. Then my heart stopped. He stopped 20 or so meters away from the bridge. Has he spotted us? Should we run? “Stay hidden...DON’T MOVE” The APC started to move again...right towards our little trap. “NOW...BLOW IT” I screamed like a little schoolgirl. With the Blown-up APC still on the bridge, it made we where all giddy with ourselves. “Rearm and regroup, get ready for another wave” Several minutes have passed before we saw anything. With the A-10 in the air, making all kinds of noise...it was hard to hear myself think. “RPG gunner and rifleman, take a forward position north west of the bridge and look west for Enemy Vehicles” I ordered As soon as the got in place... I saw the Red APC in my HUD. “Get down...don’t fire FO’s(forward observers). Wait till he gets on the bridge ” I am almost positive that this was the APC driver from earlier. You know how I know this? Because he hauled ass right past us never getting near the bridge and got into the water to the east of us. “FO’s...hunt him down” I said “ I want him DEAD” After about 1 min I get the report every Squad leader gets wet over... “APC down...Moving onto your position for Ammo” After this, we all knew what was coming for us. They were about to send a death squad just to take us out. We didn’t move because this was such a vital piece of earth. We hunkered down and continued our mission. “Humvee on the way..get ready” Once again, the HUMVEE did not stand a chance with 8 IED’s and an RPG round. Soon after this we were taking fire. The USMC finally started realizing that we were creating a hell of a problem from us. They ended up slowly picking us off, and finally they got me. I then spawned in Palace to get a Technical and move onto the Enemy position. After killing several troops, an APC finally got passed the bridge and wasted us. But it was basically over at this point. The bled damn near the entire map and we were up by a lot. We were the sole reason why they didn’t Capture Industry until they took us out. This was probably the best Squad I have ever had. Everyone communicated, everyone listened, and most of all...everyone had fun. |
