THere is a mumble nigth going on at the 19th december on the realityteamwork server though its in EUrope, but aslong as you dont have like 300 in ping it does not matter if your ping is higher then usual upto 200 Its not the ping in PR who decides if you are good or not.
Ohh yeah ENG voip and and genrelly squads with voip or TW voip are in general more tard free. |

Wicca. =)- Lithium fox I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. How do I get on Password night on TG? Maybe you can PM the details about who I can contact to get signed up on that list. I've played a couple of times on TG, about three times now I think. And Honestly, TG has the best players EVER! On a couple of those occasions, I've had some very good and helpful SL's. One night, I think I had a PR dev as a SL who was a great SL, very awesome at giving direction and keeping us alive during firefights.
On the other servers, you still find yourself in squads where the SL doesn't know what he's doing and just created a squad 'cause the other ones are full, but that usually doesn't last very long. And occasionally, you can still end up in a squad that runs willy nilly, but again, I just usually switch to a different squad or something. |

I had a very similar experience the first time I played PR too. I was on a carrier and I run up to the deck and there's a helicopter sitting there with a pilot and another player from a different squad. They're just sitting there, so I'm staring at the helicopter for like 20 secs and I'm like... Hm, I guess I'll just get on. I was the last guy, so they take off and I'm like okay... Next thing I know, they drop me off in town near my squad and I'm like "This is friggin' Awesome!"

Nice to see another face in the crowd.
It is not the lack of Mumble users that mostly ruins a round. Mumble is just a way to bring communication to a more team-effective but more work intensive level. For me, game internal VOIP is mandatory for intra squad communication, and old school keyboard typing is used to speak with other squads. It is generally the attitude and maturity of the players and the presence of an admin that brings some servers like TG and UKWF to the high quality of team play. Also, note that even the best servers might be filled with non teamplay oriented individuals at "low-season hours". Have a look at the guide section. It will help You a lot to get a insight to many tactics and procedures. See You around, Gibbon-6 |

There are some good servers like "Hardcore Insuregncy" that have 24/7 insurgency maps with good admins and team-oriented players. Insurgency is one of the many things that sets Projcet Reality on a higher level than Vanilla Battlefield 2, IMO. If you're not sure how to play, just check the insurgency section of the manual, it's pretty straightforward. And on that topic, I'm glad to hear you read most of the manual before you played a lot. It's actually pretty ridiculous how many people don't... I guess they think "Oh, well, I'm a 1337 pwnzor at BF2, so I don't need any stupid manual to tell me how to play this..." Well, PR is very unforgiving if you don't know what you're doing. But that's another story/rant. Anyway, glad to hear you like it. Feel free to say hello if you see me in a squad anytime soon, I'll rpobabl be playing insurgency. Welcome to PR! | |
