That was nostalgic, I remember all of the awesome games I had on basrah 0.4/5 and some of those awesome oldtimer maps.. *sigh*

i would love to update some of theese maps to pr 0.9 standard!!!

sad that we lost so many chinamaps and other awsome maps

I actually ran into a 0.5 server a few days ago and played there a little, but it isn't there anymore.

Seeing the old 0.5 maps brought a tear to my eye.

And 0.5 Basrah was in theory unplayable since USMC had so much air and ground power, but it was balanced by the fact that everyone soloed tanks and teamkilled each other over the A10

You can really see the difference in mapping styles and innovations.
The pre- 0.809 maps use vBF2 undergrowth and buildings and have the feeling of Karkand, while the newer ones have different feelings and look entirely different from vBF2.
