Dogs are more hands on brute force, "whatever is most effective" type of character.
Rabbits rely heavily on jumping about and kicking and are presumably not very heavily armour focused.
Rats are sneaky ninjas who stab you in the back.
Wolves are like the berserkers of the bunch, who think weapons are for weaklings, and just go to town on people unarmed.
And cats are more decadent, high class, who use rapiers and more "refined" weapons, which means speed and finesse. Think parry and riposte, more than hack & slash.

Like, where a dog will attack you head on and beat you down with a relentless barrage of heavy blows, a cat will wait for you to attack, deflect your weapon, and then stab you in the throat.

At least that's how I interpreted the song.
