I can't wait until games take advantage of quad core CPUs & GPUs, physics co-processors and gigs of ram with insanely high power network data compression... I truly believe that before my old ass is buried in the ground I'll be playing games that look like Saving Private Ryan.

I would agree with this article:
"4Core CPUs Coming Sorry, but outside of a few people using a few apps, it's two too many." - http://overclockers.com/tips01035/ If there isn't even that much 64 bit and dual core code out there right now so why would anyone expect there to be quad core code earlier than 4 - 5 years away. Why buy a more expensive CPU now that will give you nothing for at least 4 years??? |

Egg, hopefully they'll come up with some better form of presenting games than on a screen in that time period! I doubt we'll be using computer and tv screens to present information by the time of Saving Ryan's Privates graphics.
