i think this is BS...i was on holiday when this happened....and i was due to come back on 25t august....and they said i wasnt allowed any god dam son of a water on the plane, oh yeah like im gonna blow up london using a bottle of water....or maybe the plane, if i dash the water at the controls of the cocpit...which is unlikely....

this sucks....how does that guy know that the guy that made the mythlfgkhnfgjishgkjjjonol-thingy had already made it in the airport toilets and sneaked it on board in his bag ??and then BAM goes the plane....how did the police know which planes to search and who was the terrorists ? and how come the terrorist didnt blow up the plane while the police were searching ???? its all BS...if i were a terrorsit.. Tony Blair would've been dead a million times by now....

Scare Tactics, it gets hyped to high heaven to make people scared or try to. People freak even tho like this guy said, its not a simple baking soda and vinegar task to make some bomb. They don't tell you its unlikely some random jihadi can pull this off let alone ten, they just hype up the worst case and how any CONTAINER and or LIQUID could be a bomb and no one is safe bla bla bla.

Don't buy the hype.

I dont get how a small blast could bring down a plane, mabey kill people in a 10m radium But planes do have wings, so coudl they not just glide there way down to a very bumby landing.

And i find it hard that they could carry enough explosive to really serious damage- OR coudl they???

P.S secrutity is good in countries like US and UK, but only good, not amazing BUT countries like Crete and similar it is retarted - they had a door wide open on to the runway from the main lounge and a women standing there checking tickets and i walked passed carrying 3 bottles of home brew water - the flight was packed with UK peeps, 150 dead easy if the terrorists bothered, but for some odd reason they prefer trans-alantic flights!?!?!

mate, an explosion big enough to kill people in a 10m radius would rip a fking huge hole in the plane, and judging by the fact you cant open them tiny windows, what u think a big holes gonna do? Not to mention the blast severing cables and hydraulics.

ok - you are right if i bother to think but hwo much explosive where they meant to have carried and how powerfull would it have been??

Mabey there should have a back up system for fly by wire, with a wireless system.
It would be terribly expensive and highly unpractical but hay - migth partly solve control problems.

What is even more interesting is how would a flying wing be affected - thought to ponder on.
