SOF: try playing operation flashpoint, in particular the FFUR mod. the AI is incredibly complex, they have awesome tactics.
and in Armed Assault it has been confirmed, ALL AI will use leap frog (cover and movement) infantry tactics when assaulting. |

ETQW is looking pretty good. Here is a wonderfull little vid that shows some wonderfull character animiation. the whole 3rd person and 1st person view becoming one (e.g no extra animation) is what PR desperately needs.
http://www.planetquake4.net/download...m=ros&lid=2333 And i recomend downloading this vid - graphics loook as good as CRysis. http://videogames.yahoo.com/predownload?eid=491813 P>S i feel sorry for any DEVs having to model new vehicles - the ones in that game have interiors that are out of this world - good luck!! |

@Topic: Imho there is no way to make ET:QW having a really realistic look, so changing is not an option for me. | |

agree with bosco, not worth the effort... if ever to port, go to an engine that supports MORE players and LARGER environments....
ETQW doesnt seem special... sorry |

lol I was thinking of it from a marketing perspective
Project Reality has nothing to offer Arma tbh whereas having a contemporary realism mod for a scifi twitchy shooter like ETQW which does support 64 players would make PRM very very successful. Less so again for Crysis as it is a singleplayer game rather than a team based one and is more contemporary in its ingame setting. UT2007 could be interesting and it appears to be ridiculously mod friendly but so far I don't think enough is known about it as a platform. Which leaves us with the ETQW engine... Hardly ideal |

yea i get what your saying but im thinking about it this way:
PR ALREADY HAS A GREAT COMMUNITY! we dont need marketing per-se..... if id want PR to move to another engine, it would be solely based on the engines modability and its possible features, NOT the default playerbase. IF PR EVER PORTED, THE COMMUNITY WOULD MOVE WITH IT!! besides i dont think PR is going anywhere for a good while, i hope not anyways, some exciting stuff coming up |
