The tank battles are the best in this game. Pre-loading now. If I had an intenational credit-card I will buy it, but I dont have =(

OMG ULTRA BUMPAGE!
Yeah, well I purchased Red Orchestra last night, and I can honestly say it's the best $20.00 I've ever spent. What I really enjoy about the game is the gritty realism. Whereas games such as Day of Defeat: Source look nice and pretty, Red Orchestra (I feel) really captures the grittiness and horror of war. All the environments are extremely detailed, and look ravaged by the war, especially Danzig. http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/5...1207164ya3.jpg I love the weather effects. The rain and lightning are wonderful, and really immerse you. Soldiers will sometimes slump to the ground when shot, and lay quivering. Limbs and extremities can be blown off, and again, this accurately depicts the horror of war. Not for the children. http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/1...1207181bu4.jpg The sound is absolutely amazing with my X-Fi Xtreme. It is in a league all of its own. I also love the fact that the weapons all have a purpose, and when used properly, are all deadly. The baynot is the absolute best melee weapon, from any game, ever. It's actually usefull when you're out of ammo, and stuck in a building littered with debris facing a German soldier. Grenades and artillery are both deadly. Tanks actually take teamwork to operate effectively. Does anybody still play, and if so, are they up for a few rounds? If so, add me on xfire - adam192. All in all, I absolutely love the game, and can see myself playing it for a long time to come. |

One question: How come nobody whines about there being no minimap in RO and similar games which has a lot more CQC than PRM, but insist on keeping it in PRM?

Yeah Garabaldi RO's models and reloading animations are some of the best i've ever seen. Apart from some of the larger vehicle maps the maps look great. Runs fairly well on my low-medium system too.
The tweak guide helps so much it's ridiculous. http://www.redorchestragame.com/foru...ad.php?t=10701 |

Yeah, most of the animations are top notch, although some of the third-person animations look a little stiff.
Doesn't matter though, it's still an awesome game. The biggest thing I'd like to see added is mantling, as in Call of Duty 2. |

There some servers with custom " realism" style play with black screen at death and altered weapon loadouts.
I think it was 5th SS but not sure. I really RO for a change when I get burnout on PR but's it's too limited compared to PR no matter how much I like the weapon use restrictions and clear HUD. |
