Bravo Two Zero
This is THE BEST BOOK i have ever read, not that i read very often. I barely read at all and when i do it takes me about 2-3 months to finish a book lmao, but Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab is a different story i bought it 2 days ago and i am on pg 225 of 404. This book is very good for anyone who is interested in the SAS/Military or especially if youre in the Military because then u can relate to it even more like me, tho im in the cadets, but alot of the terminology you wouldn't know unless u were in some sort of Military Orginisation.
The book for anyone who doesn't know is a real life story about an SAS patrol in the Gulf War, lead by Sgt McNab. They are dropped behind enemy lines but within 24hrs the radio's are down and they get compromised by the Iraqi's and it goes from there. It is an absolutely gripping story! So anyone who has already read this put your views of it here and if you do buy it and read it let us know what u thought of it. I recommend it! |

I find myself reading Andy McNabs : Dark Winter currently. It's about biological weapons, so it interested me.

It was alright, I suggest 'Chickenhawk' if you'd like a better read. And don't let Maverick see this thread.

No, it's about a pilot training to fly helicopters and for the most part flying them in active service in Vietnam. An absolutely great book!

I don't believe much of what either of them has to say.

Chris Ryans series was just plain self effacing and brutal/senseless scenes. Andy McNabs style is just better, but he isn't literature

I very much enjoyed Bravo Two Zero. Aside from its truthfulness, its still a cracking book.
I went out the other day and bought McNab's Aggressor, and Ryan's Blackout. Read a bit of Aggressor and its brill. |
