Why aren't the French using desert camo when in A'stan? Because I see they've been using it during GW1, but not today anymore? I rarely see a picture of desert camo in use with French Forces in A'stan.

Too expensive is the main reason.

And the fact that French CE Camo doesn't do that bad in Afghanistan is another point.

Here is an interesting article (in French) about the costs of a German soldier, compared to a French or a British soldier in operations. The figures are appaling.

Wait...you have 8 NH-90s (at least since you say 8 of the new) ?

I'm not even sure France has 4 of them (NFH and TTH versions together), and we are one of the four producers of this chopper ?

I believe Finnish army has 10-14 of the 20 NH90's that were ordered.
