We used to rive landies round country roads at full speed knowing full well that ever other civvie driver would get out of our way.
One day, it was like a scene from some teen angst movie as the two of us up front looked at each other and went, "no way!" and we piled off the road bouncing horrendously to a full stop as a volvo estate came the other way without any intention of slowing down! that car was fiercer than us and we didn't think we'd come off better hitting it head on  |
