Though fundamentally wrong, it brings a good lesson, to value your shots. Sometimes on the range, or in the pistol club I see people just wasting their time and money by not taking enough care with every shot.

When I get little ones, they'll be thought early to use a .22 like a Marlin Papoose, and have have to load every single round into the chamber. Ammo isn't free, and you wont learn if your just thoughtlessly squeezing em away.

Anyway I cant almost believe that anyone could have a video game overriding real life skills, its just so fundamentally different in so many aspects.

Yes, I do want games to be more ambitious, to over-reach spectacularly,
to be more open and vibrant and mad.

Meh, shooting guns is supposed to be fun. That's why people go to civilian clubs to do it.

Not everything about recreational shooting is directly related to marksmanship or killing anything other than paper targets.

When I used to go shooting .22s, 3 teenage guys shooting bolt action rifles would get bored before a box of 500 rounds was finished. Long before.

Sometimes blasting away is good fun, especially if you're shooting something cheap like .22 rimfire, which is ridiculously cheap (at least here in the states).

Excuse an idiot newbie but would someone explain devation. I'm told that 'getting it' is very important so want to check that I have.

Am I right in thinking that it is just that the sight does not demonstrate the point of aim until 5 seconds after the previous shot?

You talking about IRL or in game?

About ingame I hope

Basically, yes. Though the time is different depending on the weapon, stance and movement.

If you just ran, wait a couple of seconds before shooting.
If you only walked one step or two, you will only have to wait a second or two.
If you didn't move, but just shot, waiting a second or two is enough for most rifles.
If you use the "deployed mode" of a weapon, you'll be much less accurate when moving, but much more accurate when standing still for some time. Sniper rifles count as "deployed" by default, which means they're accurate, but only if you were stationary for some time.

Cheers. Does stance affect it? I know that I fing it easier to line up subsequent shots when prone (IRL).

If I'm not mistaken, the weapons in game are generally more accurate when prone, but I don't know if it gets accurate faster after each shot.
