Project Reality style apache footage
Pretty intense.
LiveLeak.com - Apache Shot Down After Engaging Insurgents (Footage And Audio From The Apache As It Happens) Huge firefight with insurgents in a environment reminding of Al Basrah or Fallujah. One guy is spotted walking away from a squad of bluefor opening fire. He then spots 2 more bluefor in the fields, goes to hide in a bush, Pilots transmits info on where he's hiding. Has the 2 soldiers approach apparently asking him to come out hands up, He throws a nade and gets shot, appears to wound one of the soldiers with the frag. Apache bails has its being engaged, probably from 12.6mm Dshk as it got too close to the city. Turns around over city outskirts trying to find the shooters. Main transmission failure, going down mayday. I think by the end of the footage you can see a group of "hot spots" hiding right behind a wall overlooking a road. If it was PR like, the video wouldnt be more than 30 seconds long, and there would be instant black screen with DEAD written on it... and yeah, forget all thar communication in PR...

hmm im not sure how real that is tbh. Why would the US government allow the film to come out and i cant believe anyone from the army would want to leak a video of an apache being shot down.

Would be interesting to know what happened to the bird. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the pilots and the bird survived the crash and were recovered, to be honest.

Its blackbox communication so... Maybe the insurgents found it on the wreckage... |
