Regarding the PR-like aspects,

At the middle of the tape, when the pilot transmits to the forces on the ground the sudden change of direction of the guy on foot, You can hear for a short time the SL on the ground reply them:

-"OH yeah?"

"I love to have a helicopter up there"

That sounded just like PR, especially when the Apache takes heavy fire, total spam of Radio from all units..

You can hear in the chaos "Your tail is on fire"

Also to note... One squad reporting:

"We are east of the city near the vcp"

lol, Tell me thats not PR :P

P.S: the LOS is the line of sight, some kind of marker for the pilot I think to keep him oriented in the good direction.. Seems it was also the diversion that caused the Apache to be surprised.

It cost A LOT to train those Apache pilots, so I am sure the Apache itself is pretty safe for the crew. They didn't look like they were doing any black hawk down spins or anything so I am sure they were fine. Good footage.

Seemed to spin a lil before they cut the footage no? I dont think "mayday mayday I'm going down" is the usual radio chat for emergency landing. But I'm no expert.

To say they didn't survive the crash~landing, I wouldn't go that far. I'm sure they are pretty well strapped in with a roll cage. But then u got the fire, kerosene, and ordnance...

War is never so pretty...
