I like that all characters can die and the story doesn't end. Just like real life.

Alas, while it looks pretty good, there's not enough noir in it for me. Hardboiled cyberpunk is where it's at, if you ask me.

As a game its really not worth of anything much.. All you need to is to press correct button, which really isn't that hard... Though, in some cases very unclear movement icons do make it hard...

But as a excellent way to waste time and "be in control of the story" its really worth playing for.

This part should be spoiler-free:

Just rented it over the weekend. Since I never played Fahrenheit (heard about it though) I wasn't too sure on what to expect from the game. But I also was not having any particular expectations, either.

Controls need about an hour or two to get used to but once I got the hang of it it mostly worked quite well. A few times the context sensitive control scheme does not really do what you think it would do when you select an action but those incidents are not that many and mostly non-critical.

Story was starting out slow and I was thinking it to be a bit cliché heavy. When it picked up pacing and the different characters started influencing each other it was getting somewhat captivating. I wasn't always happy with the degree of influence you have on the storyline but I will have to find out the true degree of non-linearity by doing a few variations.

After finishing the game I was not really that eager to play through all of it again. (You can start from any chapter though and simply keep the decisions you made in the previous ones). This may have been due to me playing on the medium difficulty setting and thus not having that hard of a time reaching a positive ending without any restarts. If I had lost any characters along the way I would probably be more motivated to do another playthrough.

One positive thing I want to remark in the end is that they sure have some nice and original ideas in the game and that although the game is not really too conventional they still did a pretty solid job when making it.

If I wanted to be negative I could also say that the challenge in this game is mainly to handle the quick-time events and to a certain degree deciding correctly under pressure. At least most of the events are done in a reasonable way and you don't have to do the right thing in all of them to "not die". At the beginning of the game even missing all of them is not life-threatening.

Yes I had read too that the gametime is not very long compared to other games. But well I play slow anyway.

Btw I got to a scene were I was able to use a gun, and I did. Not sure if it was really necessary but I just wanted to see how it looked like.

Crap, this game don't start anymore. The game freezes at the beginning at the loading screen. It doesn't work anymore since the PS3's were down earlier this week, could maybe have something to do with this?

What I HATE is that the game (or story) influenting choices with stuff you say, dont give you unlimited time to choose. COME ON! Not even all the words can be read because they are rotating around the character. I already pressed a "harsh" aproach a few times because I was afraid of running out of time

Blegh...quick time events...
The demo looked awesome, but don't think i will enjoy the gameplay that much.

And I'm selling my PS3 this week, so don't think I would buy it anyway

Here be spoilers:

Well I did some more replays and experiments. I was a bit disappointed that you have almost not influence on the story during the first half of the game. You can only kill 2 of the characters before the finale and some outcomes are set in stone although they shouldn't really be from a logical perspective. E.g. I saw no way the protagonist could survive if he was the only one remaining at the warehouse. But if he was simply the only one who reached the warehouse it was an automatic survive for me as far as I recall.

There are some nice variations at the end but I still would have liked to have more influence in the earlier parts of the game. Overall I have to say that the decision processes in Mass Effect 1 & 2 felt more natural. Well the game was worth being rented but I wouldn't buy it at €60.
