I would like to know how to play this mod. Is there any help wikis and what not around?

SAMP, i'd suggest joining "cops and robbers" server (i think thats the name) its very roleplay oriented, had laods of fun with friends. All help is ingame or ask players.

I did play SA-MP, but now since my GTA Crack is different from the original one, SA-MP decides to throw me a gta_sa.exe has stopped working at me.

I can play with you in SA-MP if it worked..

LS-RP is the place to be. Or atleast was about year or two ago when I used to play it...

Probably the best SAMP server there was at the time, don't know about the current situation.

Do you need help installing it? Also, make sure you do not have any kind of patches installed for the game.

played it with Falkun, Reapermac and others back in the days... the servers with respectable game play have next to no players and the servers with loads of players have immature admins with horrible attitudes.

It can be fun but most of the time you'll end up quitting in frustration, or at least that's my experience.

The crucial thing to running SAMP is having the right gtasa.exe as only the original unpatched version supports it. The reason is because Rockstar hardcoded the game through an update after the hot coffee mod incident. That includes the Steam version.

I've rarely seen any role play in the 'Cops and Robbers' servers I've played. They are fun for a while but I get bored with them because they're essentially just TDM with arresting. Way too many hackers and griefers relative to proper RP servers and it's so easy to be a cop or robber that any DMing noob can do it, thus there's no quality.

I believe it still is for RP, because it is too inaccessible for most of the DMing noobs to join. The community is strong and the server is heavily admined.

It's user record recently is 410 players at once, which is great considering how hardcore it is. Kind of like the equivalent of PR to vanilla BF2.

That's a bit generalized considering there are over 1160 servers with a huge variety of game modes, hosting a community of tens of thousands of players.

I know the kinds of servers you're referring to, but I doubt you have given many others a try.
