Yeah me too. It infact looked like they were going to in the end. probably not worth the effort anyways though.
The distance would be way to big to the camera to recognise anyone in cover.

it's a rather common occurrence among British and "colonial" forces there seems to be the self deprecating and black humour among UK Australian and NZ forces across the arms, we have a tendency to laugh in stressful situations as more of a defense mechanism.

there are heaps of vids and stories of this kind of thing happening, does that not happen much in other cultures
