Thumbs up Re: Who Likes Amercian old Rap ?

Yeeah Boi!

Eazy and NWA does it hard. I like how straight out with it old school gangsta rap was, and you got the feeling that maybe there was some truth to their anecdotes; not like those sparkly kiddies like Drake, with their Psuado RnB-hiphop.
Impossible not to boogaloo to the Sugar Hill gang.
Some old school stuff had some good naratives elements, like Fresh prince and Jazzy-jeff!

Bewhere the hip-hop haters out there, iIrc this forum is full of em!

The type of rap I like is basically the Los Santos radio station on San Andreas and some older guys like Public Enemy and Slick Rick . I really dislike newer rap, it just isn't the same.

I do, I like old hip hop. I can't stand modern rap, (Especially Soulja Boy, if you could even call that rap)

De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Fresh Price and Jazzy Jeff, Jurassic 5, Mos Def, Beastie Boys, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy etc etc. And a little bit of rap as well, Tupac, NWA, Snoop, Ice T, Cube, Dre, early Eminem. I will make some exceptions though, I do like Jay-Z and some of Kanye's stuff isn't bad

So basically, I like any hip hop they usually play on music channels at 2am, and nothing they play during the day.
