Dont know how many who will watch but me personally I will be a TV slave for the next 2 weeks, the channel who is showing 500hours of Olympic Games or nearly 31 hours a day they have 2 channels + one HD channel so I am just waiting for the Down hill skiing tomorrow and the Biathlon womens.
So what will you guys follow, I will follow as much as I can tbh been on skis since I was roughly 2-3 years old train skiing something like 5-10 hours a week. So what I look most forward too: Icehockey men alpine Cross Country skiing Biathlon Atleast the curling if the norwegians is in the finals atleast. Ice Skate Snowboard Some ski jumping (not such a fan lately to much shit been going on with canceled competitions because of wind or snow so you loose alittle interest) Well so who will be the Winter olympic games king From what I see th eone taking the most gold medals will be someone in the skiing part since they have the most competitions like swimming with Phelps: Petter Northug (24) will do really good heres a montage from the World Championship last year: I read about him in the paper and he has been so determined that when he was 14-15 there was alot of trainings he could not remember he trained past his limit alot of times. Or Ole Einar Bjorndalen you will never find a more perfect athlete in most of the world, 91 world cup victories over a span of 13 years that is also counting the one he got in cross country skiing, he got 5 olympic medals 4 from Salt Lake and one from Nagano. He is the perfect athlete since Torino he has followed a 4 year long training plan. His motivation is that he wants to go the perfect competition and thats it the gold medal is just a thing showing him that he did a perfect competition. SO whats you gonna follow in the games and who are your favorites? |

People don't realize that autism doesn't mean they're "stupid". Just socially inept. Like rhino... > > or in a worst case scenario... Wicca. =)- Lithium fox I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. Unfortunately we just lost a Georgia Luger. He dies in Olympics practice crash. Too sad, if you watch the video (other sites) he hit a pole really hard.

As long as I get to see the curling I'm satisfied. Of tradition that's usually the only thing I tend follow in the winter olympics. And maybe if sweden get to the finals in ice hockey I might see that game.
Yes I'm serious. |

I will try to watch (if time permits): cross country skiing, men alpine, ski jumping and ice hockey.
RIP Nodar Kumaritashvili. He tragically died during his practice run today. |

That was pretty funny (and embarrassing, I guess) when they had those technical difficulties with the Olympic Cauldron platform.
The poor fourth guy didn't get to use his torch. Otherwise, excellent opening ceremonies. Beijing set the bar high for the summer Olympics, and I think Vancouver has set another high bar for the winter. Looking forward to the games! Skiing will always be my favorite to watch, especially the slalom. |
