get/make an electromagnet, and stick that to the door with a aluminum bar on the back (or some magnetic metal). Also hoke up a wireless switch to it, that way, you can lock your doors with magnets XD (Must be very strong electromagnet XD)
^^best idea so far XD AND ITS MINE Here is an example (just imagine it fliped sideway, a TINY bit smaller, and hocked to a door with a small rod on the other end of the door XD)

You put it on the outside of the door. However, if your dogs get the door open, seems unlikely that a hook will stop them for long, they'll probably break through it fairly rapidly, with undesirable effects on your doorframe.

Masaq's dog training door machine.
You will need: 1 customer-counter (infrared device used to count how many people pass through a shop in a day) 2 electric-shock dog training collars, and the trigger devices Some wire and solder Some screws 2 dogs Small mean streak Step 1: Open the collar triggers, and the county machine thing Step 2: Wire the collar triggers and the county machine together Step 3: Mount the county machine at dog-height next to the door Step 4: Affix collars, one to each dog Step 5: Turn the county-machine zappy-trigger device on. Bingo! It now doesn't matter if the dogs open the door. Every time they try to go through it (as sensed by the county machine), they'll get a little zap. Within a few days they'll learn that going through open doors is bad You can simply step over the beam so as not to trigger it inadverenty. Once they get the message, you can remove the device and collars. Win! |

Or hire a neighborhood granny to berate them when they try to leave. I prefer psychological pain to physical pain.

Training them isn't a problem tbh, you have just got to catch them every time they open the door which isn't too hard, like I said I've already started training them not too but I want insurance that they can not let themselves out by making it impossible for them to let themselves out.
Springers are smart dogs, had some in the past although my previous ones where not this smart and they will justified in there minds much like we do that something that are wrong, are ok at other times, so training them not to do something isn't enough when your not around to correct it when it might go wrong. |
