Help with a site I'm editing

Hey guys, I'm the web guy for my student corporation, and I'm having some trouble updating http://departuur.be/ (don't worry about all the Dutch

)

The aim is to have submenu's within the main menu to the left, so that if you press "sponsors", you get a list of all the sponsors on the left, where you can then go straight to the right sponsor. Only problem is...I know just about nothing about html besides the very basic stuff

Anyone who knows how I can do this?

Something else...I would like to put stuff into different maps in my ftp client (winscp), but how do I then change the links so they still point in the right direction? Say, if I call a map sponsors, would I think link to sponsors/slaapkot.html, instead of just slaapkot.html?

For the sub-menu you would have 2 ways of doing this :
- The old style, 100% HTML way. when you click on the "sponsor" link you reload the main page and have the menu part of the page modified to include the sponsor sub-menu. All you need to do is add a bit more html code (remove the 'target' part of course)
- Dynamic menu with a javascript menu system. Lots of free ones are to be found on the net, but you might have find t a bit difficult to implement if you're not html/javascript savy. But hey that's how we all learn

As for the map part. Do you mean folders ? in that case yes just like on your hard drive you use the path of the targeted file (well it depends on where you are in the hierarchy, but your structure should be simple enough that you don't encounter any problems)

This website is very very outdated

Think Saobh's first solution would be the best one in this case.
Adding a javascript submenu would require some reworking (me thinks)

Interesting, Saobh, do have the html anywhere saved or know of an example i can copy/paste online to achieve the what dune wants with clicking the sponsor opening up a sub menu?

been using quackit and its been really helpful up til now, but i dont think i came across how to do that on their site.

I see you already changed it that a sponsor submenu is loaded.
But you need to change the "terug" button in the new menu.
