Default How long does it take to train your infantry? ? ?

Anyone know how long it takes to train infantry of these countries (please include boot camps)...

Russia

China

France

Germany

Poland

So far i got

USARMY 11b: 14 weeks + unit trainings

UK British Army- 26 weeks +unit trainings (I personally talked to a Color Sgt from the UK army about this)

UK Royal Marines: 32 weeks+ unit time

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

No, but why do I get the feeling you started this thread as a excuse to boast about the Marine Corps longer training?

Anyway, your not gonna get much useful information from these numbers, the organization, time frame, and whats actually learned every week will of course wary wildly from army to army.

Yes, I do want games to be more ambitious, to over-reach spectacularly,
to be more open and vibrant and mad.

sry about the whole British Army thing I meant no disrespect im not in the British Army so I did not know (im us mil)... thanks for the edit Bob...

anyway you guys do not have restrict to the list so please list how long in total it takes for your countries infantry to be totally trained up... if possible please provide sources though!!! and please just infantry units no special ops/forces thanks guys!!!

and if I wanted to boast about the USMC has longer training why did I put the British Army and Royal Marines training? That was not my intention to say anyone is better than the other, please do not think that, for those are not my intentions nor should be anyones! Please do not get into who is better i am curious if training for NATO or other countries have similar training time frames.

Sweden(Conscription) - 12 Weeks of basic training, followed by 32 weeks of specialisation training and exercises. Some roles(like translators) have an additional 3rd period. Likewise if you are going for a non-officer military career after the compulsory service.

Conscription is however being phased out, and how it will look in the future is not 100% certain.

Well, talking to people who have served longer than me. The British focus a lot of there overall training to be done in that time, with the US army its different, you learn the basics and then learn more from your unit.
