Good point, one of the interviews he was in he talked about how DICE said DC could never get off the ground (lol) because coding helicopter physics was impossible on the 1942 engine but they did it anyway, so never say never.

Im not put that much by it not having mod tools out the box, as I dont see this game as the next step in the battlefield series, its just battlefield branching out to consoles even further, which they showed worked with the first one.

Also, if there is no 'bf3', what was the title they said they were working on 'that is for the pc gamers' ?

'IN ADVANCE SORRY FOR LONG POST JUST READ THE READ METAPHOR. I HOPE IT MAKES YOU LOL.

First off.
I don't call these Dedi servers that the PC gamers get Dedi.
Why?
for so many reasons of course. You might as well play in the Every Man For Him Self game aesthetics of console games. to Name a few ( BF:BC1, and MW2 )
So the admins do not GIVE a Minute to actually admin. Running a server won't even allow you're members in. I would make a server with Dedicated members only to have a fun time playing BFBC2 but who cares? All the players wanna hump like bunnys and get up the leader boards as if they where to win a Tiwsted metal tournament type prize ( If you havn't played Twisted Metal 3, lets say he gives you a wish but not what you where expecting ).

Secondly.
How does it noT effect PR?

Well to tell you the blunt truth it doesn't. BUT ANYONE WHO'S GOING TO LINK FOR PR2 FAQ SHOULD .... well it's just it doesn't matter for the threads sake.
And really a PR is any mod that seeks realism " technically " But no it won't effect PR.
And plus why would you cast off a game that has, currently the most attention of modern games on PC platform? With the amount of players, Mods would make this a MUST buy.
And really who doesn't wanna make a mod for a game that has all you're DX features, Map and shading features, weapon accuracy features ... the list goes on of how simple it would be to make a perfectly balanced Realism mod ( NOT SAYING CODING IS EASY, CAUSE IT'S NOT, I RESPECT ANYONE WHO CAN CODE cuz i sorta can't) Oh yeah and you're body armor can stop bullets, after it's travelled huge distances .

thirdly.
IT MEANS MODS WILL BE THE LAST SURVIVING PART OF PC GAMING.
ETHER WAKE UP AND TAKE DOWN THE BIG GUYS ( ea ) WHILE WE CAN
or loose the PC gaming where fond of.
Not like we actually like EA games, cause we know we want em so we can make em better.

DICE is EA's dog. BF is Dices um product? And well EA can clean it up and put it in a bag or leave it there. If EA leaves it there we can have it and make PR n FH2. If EA puts it in a bag then gives it to us. Well we need to work for EA and then put it on rapid share and face the law to make a mod for it. In other words EA carrys alot of bags arround when it walks it's many dogs. It will always clean up there dogs product because if they don't ppl like us will pick it up and show them what it could be, and shove it in there face .

A dogs Prodcuted: yes i mean ****, but it means the games that the "Dogs" make

Dogs: the producers or dev studios that are owned by EA

Cleaning up the product: IRL when you're dog makes his product you should clean it up for Karma reasons and so old man jakes doesn't beat you with his a cane. Games that do not under go this treat ment get mod tools and devs support as well as manuals, that aren't more media etc .

Shoving it in there face : PR IS ON A TECHNICAL NOTE BETTER THEN BF2, and every other way. And go on to do great things and make there own games, PR2.... Hopefully.

so have I bored you yet?

That was just a wall of text so I didn't bother reading it all, but it seems like you think DICE did not make Mod tools for BFBC2 for no reason
There is a very strong legit reason why,
In an interview, Gordon Van Dyke said that there won't be mod tools for BC2 because of the complicated process of using the frostbite engine. They mentioned all the step by step process of using frostbite engine.
When I read those steps, it really seems a casual modder does not have tje knowledge of operating the frostbite engine tools itself.
DICE said that it is nearly impossible to make a easy to use mod tools for modders. But you might never know, Dice might figure out a way for modders to have a much easier time to use the mod tools for the Frostbite engine.

And remember BC2 is the first PC installment that uses the frostbite engine.

I think BF3 will have mod support. I think BF3 will be the kind of follow up of BF2.

Not discrediting what you have said, but do you have a link?
But if you've seen the small glimpses *1 of the Creator seen in some videos, mapping that is.
Looks relatively close to the bf2 tools but yet mean anything i know.

Not saying that there probably not right. it's just if you look at the history they said alot of things couldn't be done, like helicopters in BF1942.

They might have a reason not to.
But saying they have a complicated tool system is ridiculous because there employees wouldn't work with an impossible system to use.

IIRC I read in an interview with one of the BC2 devs (probably Gordon) where he said that one of the major reasons not to release the tools (besides beeing "to advanced") was that the tools and more so the game files needed to use them would take some 50GBs of space and net traffic.

I think we will all wait and wait for BF3, only to find it has no mod tools, no lean, no prone, no anything we want.

I doubt anyone will make a non-console type game again. Unless an actual gamer has the money to make a true PC FPS, then there won't be one.

The gaming companies will follow the money, and that means console sized games only. Every person who buys a console size shooter while "waiting" for a real PC game, is partly responsible. The gaming companies know we will buy whatever crap they put out. If NO ONE bought these awful games, they wouldn't make them, and we would have had BF3 two years ago.
