I think it's funny that people are like OMG this is appalling bla bla bla, when who hasn't seen someone get put in a sleeper hold? It is the same thing only someone is doing it to you instead of you doing it to yourself.

Just search sleeper hold on youtube you you will find videos of it from Martial arts instructors, Cops, Kids, MMA submissions ect.

I would assume that martial artists and cops receive some training in such techniques, so have a lower chance of doing it too long and causing permanent brain damage/death, whereas a kid doing it is more at risk of holding it too long (especially if using belts etc that continue the pressure while unconscious).
